Really nice boardwalk around the dunes. It's a pretty friendly place. You can seat and relax with the sound of the ocean. Many signs indicating location, animal and rules to follow. Great exercise .

This beautiful park is immaculately kept. It opens at 6a and dogs are allowed on the ~1.5mi loop boardwalk until 10a and again 1hr before sunset. Also, dogs are allowed on the beach but ONLY north and west of the jetty. Restrooms, showers, and dog wash stations are at the park entrance. Be sure to bring water and also in the summer wet down your dog before you start the loop. Enjoy!!

Such a beautiful place!!! I couldn’t help but take a million photos and videos. The loop boardwalk gives amazing views of the dunes beach and inlet. Plus…. There’s so many gopher tortoises!!! You can see them right off the boardwalk which is great because you can observe them without disturbing. I will definitely go back. There is a fee to pay at the gate and the parking is limited but it’s worth it! You can also access the beach from this park, and there is much much less traffic on it than the main beach next door at New Smyrna beach . I prefer to enjoy the beach without traffic going by every second. Definitely recommend!

Easily one of my favorite beaches on the East coast. Family friendly, always clean and safe. Dog friendly, great trails to walk leading right to the beach. Beautiful views and most quiet in the early morning.

This is a parking lot and public restroom/shower and dog wash area. The walk to the beach is quite long. There are other areas to drive on the beach. You can however drive on NSB and access the park boardwalk and trails on foot.
Yes there are. They must be leashed. They offer separate dog trails.
There were some but I wouldn't call it a great place to look. It was a beautiful area though.
It's $10 to enter the park $20 to drive on the beach but I have a video between beachway and Inlet I drove want to the beach I was digging a hole in the sand out by the water so my son could play in it and found hookworm I have the video I'm trying to get ahold of beach Patrol now wear shoes hookworm is highly contagious and can infect you and cause you pain for months
Yes, I asked them this morning when I was there.
Anywhere from a quarter of a mile to a mile depending on what part of the beach
We were there 2 wks ago. Sorry I can't help.
Yes
We found several shells, they are smaller ones, but beautiful colors... even found a sand dollar fully intact... I have not seen any shark teeth myself... but my neighbor who surfs, has collected quite a few of them from there...
Yes I have seen alot on beech with metal detectors so I am assuming yes
At 200 lbs it could have been a Ninja turtle.
The ocean side beach is where the waves are... no dogs allowed, sorry.
It's completely free after 5 pm. I just went and asked staff there yesterday. Can confirm.
I would think do, contact their supervisors
There is a ramp Lee's than a mile south of the park
If you go to the taller observation tower and look away from the water you will see a white dome. (J&R Cantillon) if you ask the park management and or any of the coast guard they will be happy to inform you that it is used by Nasa.
There were several benches throughout the park entry and on the boardwalk. The parking lot was small. You can drop off from the park entrance.
There are lots of places to pull up to. We'll ride out jet ski and pull up to the waters edge, depending the tide of course.
Watch out for Broom Hilda, its a new year, and she had her ticket book ready to go.
Wouldn't suggest it. Reminds me of an old wooden roller coaster without the coaster bit.
One fee. Save and get annual pass even. If you just want to check it out usually no attendant the last hour.
No, it is about $100 for non residents
Don't worry about that access. Once you enter the park. And find a parking spot. It's honestly super easy to find your way around. If you go to the left that is the intercoastal entrance which is dog friendly. If you go to the right and take the walkway you have other options of beach access. Where we went it was less crowded and more peaceful.
Yes. They take cards and cash. If you have a disability tag parking is free.
As far as I know the only place to go is Inlet Beach and you have to pay $10
$10 a day or $20 for an annual pass to dunes Park and light house park across the ponce inlet. Worth every penny.
They close at 830pm cars out by 9pm. Until the time changes in November. As it gets darker earlier it closes a little bit earlier each week. Enjoy!
Yes
All around the inlet provided you have proper licences
My favorite is Beach Quarters. It's right on the beach and has a great pool. The apartments have a seperate bedroom and a well equipped kitchen that can save a family a fortune in eating out. It's nice to be able to throw a pizza in the oven when the kids get hungry late at night.
Not that I know of is unmanned you could probably call the city of New Smyrna Beach or Volusia County oh and FYI as far as the parking goes on the beach when you come across the bridge before you go through that light take a left at that first light go really slow and there's a place where you can drive on the beach and it doesn't cost anything but it's a small sign it's on the right got to look for it close but it's free beach access but don't tell anybody
Yes, it's called New Smyrna Beach RV park
Yes you can. Not much beach area but its a dog friendly park. Lots of pups
Please check their website: https://www.volusia.org/services/public-works/coastal-division/coastal-parks/smyrna-dunes-park.stml
You can get both at the Walmart in New Smyrna Beach
There used to be grills but last time I was there about a month ago they have appeared to be removed. You can't bring your own grills. There may be some grills at the start of the trail or somewhere else in the park, but no longer on the boardwalk.
No you have to bring your own
The total amount of the boardwalk is between 0.5 and 0.75 miles
You have to park and use paths for dog walks down to the beach. They have places for water for your dogs and to rinse off. Places for your pets poo walks. Nice place to walk your pets.
It's a volusia county park, Canaveral park is at the south end of the island, with various pay/non-pay access to the beach in between.
Yes you can
It is in Volusia county, approximately 10 miles south of Daytona Beach, North of New Smyrna Beack (although still considered part of New Smyrna)
No, the dog beach is a short walk from the parking lot
No unfortunately but New Smyrna RV park and campground is not far away.
Yes. But dogs are only allowed at the Inlet side of the dunes park. No one will stop you with your dog in the car anywhere on NSB.
There is no driving on the dog beach.
You can purchase the annual pass at the entrance to the park for $20.00 if memory serves and it also grants you access to Lighthouse Point Park on the North side of the inlet.
Sun set is to the west. Smyrna is east coast. Still pretty but not as dramatic. Sunrise is gorgeous tho!
I would call the park.
Yes
Don't let your dogs swim in the water it is salty. They can get salt water poisoning if they drink the salty water. I had to take my dog to the vet soon after arriving home from that Beach.
Park is open just be careful lots of boardwalk being reconstructed
