Dogs have their own beach area
This is a really nice area to take your dogs. Plenty of beach space around by the inlet and some quiet places on the river side. We got a nice long leash so our dogs could run into the water a little without us having to also. Some of the other posters on here mention the lifeguard tower, that is on the north side of the inlet and That Is Lighthouse Point Park. Another nice place to bring your dog. There is less open beach space here than Smyrna Dunes.

Dogs are allowed. If you take the trail to the beach near the coast guard station, you can walk 15-20 minutes along the beach with your dog to the other end and then the same return trip. I made a long line for my dog. She plays in the surf while i walk along the waters edge.
Yes. But they must be leashed. And they cannot be on the boardwalk after 10am. They do have a nice trail that runs besides the boardwalk for the dogs.
Yes. There is a dog beach but they are supposed to stay leashed. What fun is that?
