There were some but I wouldn't call it a great place to look. It was a beautiful area though.

We never went all the way to the beach but enjoyed walking around the dunes. I'm not sure if it is or isn't. Sorry. It's a beautiful park, regardless.

It can be. Near fishing pier not so much but large waterfront so great areas to look

Go right after high tide. I've found better shelling here than on New Smyrna Beach (the drive on part of the beach).

I would say no. Also, be aware it is quite a walk from the parking lot down to the beach area. There are wood walkways, so you are not only walking in thick sand. Also, fyi, it is the dog park.
