This is a parking lot and public restroom/shower and dog wash area. The walk to the beach is quite long. There are other areas to drive on the beach. You can however drive on NSB and access the park boardwalk and trails on foot.
No! There is no parking on the beach at this park. You park in a lot, which is often full. You walk about 3/4 mile down to actual beach. Bring cart or something to tote stuff.
Yes you can.
The people who are saying you can drive on the beach at Smyrna Dunes Park are wrong. You can drive on the beach in New Smyrna Beach but not in Smyrna Dunes Park.
No, driving is not allowed on the beach at Smyrna Dunes Park. There is a parking lot, with restroom facilities and a visitor's center, which is a short walk from the dog beach. There are various access points to the beach frim the boardwalk and nature trails, but vehicular access is off limits.
Nope..
No, you can't drive your automobile [on the beach] at Smyrna Dunes park. You can park, for a fee, in Smyrna Dunes and access the boardwalk which will give you access to the park and other parts of the beach. You can however, use several entrances along the beach, near Smyrna Dunes and drive up beside it, park and walk to 'the dunes'. This is what I do on occasion.
Do you pay for parking?
You can drive in the beach here all the way to the jetty rocks, but you can NOT access it from within the park, you have to pay for drive-on access from outside the park then drive, carefully, all the way down the beach until you can't drive no more. But yes you can drive on the beach in Smyrna Dunes park, just not from within. We recently did this, beautiful area, parked by the jetty.
Cars can not drive on the beach from within dunes park. You park the car, walk the elevated wood deck around the park, from which you can access the fishing pier, the jetties, ponce inlet and the beach, on foot.
