This is mostly a Dog beach. Great place for them.
Just to clarify... New Smyrna Beach (along the ocean) does not permit dogs. Smyrna Dunes Park (along the inlet) does. Same beach but separated by a rock jetty so you can't drive on the park/inlet/dog beach.

Rebecca, I'm not 100% sure, but I see a lot of dogs at NS Dunes Park going to the beach. I think the only restriction is that they are not allowed on the boardwalk after 10 am. Poop issues I guess. Really amazing beach for pets though.
