Lots of parking available. Went on memorial weekend so it was super busy and packed. Overall had a nice experience with the family. It was also nice drinking a cold drink while watching the sunset. Highly recommend staying for it.

One of the best beaches in Clorella county. The water is warm, the wind is good, the beach is clean, enough parking lot. You pay $5 for parking the whole day. Opens at 7:00am to sunset. It's great to share with family, friends or by yourself. The park has public showers and restrooms.

Super nice beach! There’s not too many people here and it’s for the most part a very quiet beach! There were still lots of families so it is family friendly and there is a food truck as well. There’s bathrooms and showers as well which was nice. We were even lucky enough to see some dolphins while being out there and you can see AND feel fish swimming around you sometimes too! I highly recommend! I was also able to find tons of cool seashells and watch the beautiful sunset.

I love this place. It's very peaceful and pleasant beach. You need to pay $5.00 for the parking fee. Nice environment where everyone is friendly. Me and my family enjoyed the day relaxing and I saw the dolphins swimming close to where the people swim.

$5 all day at the park itself or a year pass at parks and conservation resources 12520 ulmerton road Largo . $75 /yr $55 seniors or discounted for military
There's a flat rate of $5 with parking available from sunrise to sunset.
I would go to Egmont Key or Caladesi Island!
. You can bring dogs to the Sand Key dog park or walk the trails with them. But dogs on the beach are not allowed. Parking is $5 for the day or you can get a annual or 6 months pass from the Pinellas extension office in Largo. 12520 Ulmerton Rd, Largo, FL 33774 This is where the Florida Botanical Gardens are which is a lovely place to walk your dog also! ( and it's free :-)
No cars allowed on the beach.. But plenty of parking spots
I don't see why not but if it is prohibited the Parks Department will let you know.
The beach closes at sunset, when you enter Sand Key Park there's a information display on what time the park closes after the speed bump.
Better .. Go to Shertaton and use their beach then you can have champagne 🍾
There is np fishing at the swim areas. But you can fish im many other spots.
if they have it set up, cover restrictions may not allow it at this time
Hi. The stay is 5 dollars can be paid by credit card or coins. The payment box gives change.
Thus is a state park , I don't think dogs are allowed . I have been going there for a long time and have not seen any dogs . I hope that helped.
There is a current rip tide warning for today
The park closes at sunset
I do not think so
Nope. All good
Yes the fishing piers are open and the park opens at 7: am
Not sure what you mean, but sunset on the coast is usually around 8:30-9pm. The park will have it marked on the board when you pull in. Park closes at sunset.
25 i think for umbrella a a pair of lounge chairs
From open to close. Oh just kidding. Open varies on morning rounds by park staff, but 7am to 9PM is a safe play in June
Pier 60 is now also open for fishing
Entrance is free. However, the cost of parking your vehicle is five dollars from sunrise to sunset.
We have fished there for years. Never had a problem. They don't want anyone past the sign.
Yes and be at the ends of the beach away from children. It's a long walk so bring a larger wheeled cart. No alcohol at anytime on the beach they check
You must take them. The beaches are public and almost no place rents chairs or you get liquids or food for sale.
About a city block, not too far!
When I was there they were $36 but I think that was for the chairs and umbrella together
Because some people with dogs don't care about the law, so they just bring them on the beach anyway. They bring them into supermarkets down here in Florida also, even when they're not support dogs. Most people down here are pretty dog friendly and really don't mind. But you will get the occasional person that causes a stink about it. That being said I would never bring my dogs on a beach that wasn't set aside as a specific dog beach, there are plenty of them down here although some of them take a little bit of a ride to get to... And I also am one of those people that don't care what other people do, but it is kind of rude because not everyone is a dog person...
Hi there! Sorry there isn't any camping at Sand Key Beach. Closes at Sunset.
Yes there is but it's very simple hot dog hamburger ice cream. The Sheraton Sand key is next door
Ric1 grill out there don't know if I saw any other one of the only one and he first comes first
It will be packed unless you get there very early to get a spot.
Not at the park. However there is a awesome selection of restaurants close by. Within a couple minutes drive time from park.
Yes we found free parking for anybody in a huge hotel complex near the end of the blvd
They we're not allowed on the beach and if in the park mustbe leashed at all times. They do have a fenced in dog park area
Yes, a natural beach, some rushing watered at tide change
They are by reservation, however there's a paper that tell you what time and date they are taken. So you can use them until then.
Not at the part you can't fish at night but they have places close to Sand key that you can fish
Its on the Gulf. The ocean is on the other side of the state.
There are pay boxes scattered throughout the lot. :)
Havent found sharks teeth but lots of sand dollars
If you mean parking then a regular annual parking pass is $75, seniors is $55, and other discounts are available for military or limited income with verification.
They closed the park on 4/24 due to the annual county employee party. They do not close the park for weddings.
Hi Amber, Yes, they have a bath house that's pretty decent.
At the park, yes
No. You are required to exit ALL Pinellas County Park Department Parks at close, which is immediately following sunset. The park employees are available when the park is open. They are not Rangers, although that is what their uniform says. Also, rangers are no longer living in the homes that are at each park. They now each have 1 designated Pinellas County Sheriff living in each park. I wouldn't suggest trying to do it anyway. You would be trespassing after close.
I'm not sure if there really is any restaurants on Sand Key they know they have condos and they got to have restaurants inside some of the big Condominiums or hotels they usually have restaurants for their guest love that beach though
First come
Dusk to dusk
No dogs allowed here, but you can take your pooch under the Belleair Causeway as there is a dog beach, albeit a small one, there.
No, there is no sharks in that ocean. It's the ocean, there is always a potential of running into sharks however it is very unlikely that they would come close to shore. Doesn't hurt to be cautious whenever you are swimming in salt water.
The park closes at sunset.
I think i seen fisherman on Northeast part near the bridge.
Sometimes the first come first serve isn't to bad. Best option though is to reserve.
No there's no overnight parking
Whoever said you won't find shells over one inch is wrong. Lots of conch shells wash up or are about ankle to knee deep in the water. Much of the beach is compacted shells and sand. It's much quieter than main clearwater beach and is well known as the locals spot to avoid the very congested main clearwater beach area. Sand key is great.
As long as you pay the day fee, your RV as a licensed vehicle would be allowed. Have fun!
You can rent them. I think its $25 for them with a large umbrella/cover
Pinellas County provides lifeguards at designated swim areas from March to September (Labor Day). Hours of operation may vary due to staff availability and weather conditions. Check lifeguard towers for conditions and coverage. Be aware of conditions - swim at your own risk.
Dogs are allowed in the park. They even have a special fenced-in dog run area. Unfortunately they are not allowed on the beach.
