This airport is generally pretty quick to get through security. Some of the gates could use a remodel but they are slowly starting to improve the airport. The one thing that is very annoying about this airport is that it generally takes FOREVER to get your bag. No great restaurant choices either. Everything else is as you would expect.

I don't know who is running logistics here but they need to be fired. Flights seem to all land/depart around the same time creating a feast or famine type environment. The people are all doing their best but it's a small airport so things get overwhelmed quickly. I had a 6am flight, TSA was backed up into the rental car wing. TSA pre check line moved slower then the regular line despite being a quarter of the length. I checked a bag and received a notice it was on the plane before i cleared TSA. I arrived over an hour before boarding started and just made it to my plane. On arrival, renting a car was a 30 minute wait... I was thinking as a small airport, this would be quick, but be sure to give yourself extra time. I've gotten in and out of Seattle faster than here.

Getting off the Southwest flight late at night was smooth, and a wheelchair in our party worked well with the flooring of the airport on the way to baggage claim. There were publicly available push carts for luggage, and they were smooth enough to push one-handed, with a braking mechanism if the handle was released. The parking area was well arranged, and we took two elevators and covered walking, with minimal exposure to the cold, winter air before reaching our parked car on the fourth floor. Just before the parking exit gate and payment terminals (which did require two attempts, though), there was a free car wash, which did a thorough job. Don't skip that feature.

For a smaller airport Spokane’s is very nice. The free carts a huge plus. Recognizing our police, troopers, firefighters and public servants is outstanding

You definitely want to check with your airline directly with your specific confirmation number, or let them know as you’re purchasing the ticket. This will definitely get you the best help at the airport, as they will know what to be prepared for. And you can stop by in person in Spokane with any airline, and they can specifically explain to you the requirements and size of your particular aircraft. Hope this helps anyone with similar issues!
Uber has a dog transport service that may be your best bet.
Yes, you can send animals by plane. You will need to contact the airline you plan on flying with to get the details on packaging, and what should be with your dog when they fly and any other necessary information
I'm out of Idaho & I'm pretty sure Washington did something very similar They changed the Driver's licenses, Idaho to a star card & Washington to an enhanced license or ID & I couldn't fly if I didn't get one. But as I minor....I'm not sure! Do some research I'm sure you'll find your answer.
They did not do a covid test for us. I felt completely safe and thr staff for alaska did a great job making sure everyone was spaced out and had masks on
Yes... as long as you're outside of the security checkpoint.
The Resort has a shuttle that many friends of ours took that we will use next time.
Yes, some airlines like Alaskan have stand alone kiosks, others like Southwest make you stand in line anyways to get to a self service kiosk.
Spokane, Washington. ... The airport's code, GEG, is derived from its airfield's namesake, Major Harold Geiger
So long as it can fit in a carrier under the seat in front of you I believe so.
As an International airport, it never technically closes.
In terminal C there is a Starbucks and a restaurant called the tap room. There is also a travel market where yo can buy drinks and food. In concourse A and B there is a centralized food court with a Starbucks, Quiznos sub, Burger King, and a restaurant called vintage Washington. There is also shops in the food court as well. In the individual Concourse A and B there is a shop and a restaurant in both concourses.
You bet. As many days as you wish.
Starting December 2020 you will need a 'Real-ID' compliant license in order to fly domestically. Until then you should not need an enhanced ID or Passport unless you're flying outside of the United States. If there is an exception to these rules your airline will inform you.
Yes there is. There is even a restroom, I believe, for the people who are waiting
Factor for weather, commute traffic on I-90, accidents and parking.
The Delta check in counter time for Spokane International Airport is Hours: 4:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. daily.
It is not with card
never had a problem only told once it's not legal but honestly if that's the case most the hotels near by are cheaper and probably a whole lot more comfortable 😉
Under 18 with written consent... I believe 15 is lowest they will go... At least that's how it is with the other forms of transport...
4am daily
Far side. Usually to the right after you get off the plane. There should be signage.
The hotel has one. You need to call and set it up
No ma'am, not at all. I just flew from Washington to Michigan, none of that is required
They have a way for you to purchase time on WiFi...I believe the info is on their pamphlets in the back of the seat in front of you.
The only time I could smell the smoke was on the way down the ramp to the plane. Nothing but fresh air in the plane.
Yes you can and no you do not need to power device on regardless if your using it or not, it will be scanned thru TSA just like carry on... Very simple process
@bobbie Spokane had to designate their airport an international airport when they held the World's Fair in 1974
Canada, Mexico ( Puerto Vallarta, Cancun), and Costa Rica.
this has nothing to do with the airport
Yes. Plenty high
Yes, I picked my brother up from an inbound flight yesterday.
No
Yes. Carry them, not in your carry-on bag.
You're definitely going to want to put those items in a checked bagged. I fly with all the time with a big metal glidecam to film weddings and they've been throwing more and more of a fit every time I go through security with it in my carry on. Best bet is to check something you're not sure of if you don't want to risk getting through security here but getting flagged in Arizona for the flight back and having to leave your tools or find a way to ship them back home.
Yes you can in Spokane or Seattle
Generally, yes. Depending on the airlines. Major carriers fly onto Spkane
Early theres people in there starting 4am
This question would be better asked of your airline.
1st bag up to 50lb. - $30, 2nd bag up to 50lb. - $40. Depending how many bags you have to check in, and how heavy they weigh will vary in price. And... United doesn't usually charge any Late Fees when you check in a bag last minute that I know of.
"TENS (Transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) units are allowed in both carry-on and checked bags. If your doctor has told you that your specific TENS unit shouldn't go through an X-ray, you should notify the TSA officer so they can conduct alternate screening. To help you get through security more efficiently, remove your TENS unit from your carry-on bag and put it in the screening bin so the TSA officer can get a clear view of it." https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/tens-unit
Depends on the date and airline, but there are no direct flights. You will have to go Spokane to a connecting airport (Denver, Dallas, Chicago, etc.) and then to New Orleans.
GEG is not a busy airport. I'd recommend checking bags inside.
For further information, you may want to check with the TSA. Here is their website: https://www.tsa.gov
It will depend on what sort of liquid you are packing. Be prepared for questions from TSA when you retrieve your checked bags.
Were is the closest long term parking for Southwest Airlines
U.S. Department of Homeland Security says: "3-1-1 for carry-ons = 3.4 ounce (100ml) bottle or less (by volume) ; 1 quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag; 1 bag per passenger placed in screening bin. One-quart bag per person limits the total liquid volume each traveler can bring. 3.4 ounce (100ml) container size is a security measure." If you abide by these rules, you will be fine. Safe travels!
That's up to each air carrier. You should contact their customer service line to confirm. Personally I'd avoid shipping a pet in cargo.
According to Google and www.fodors.com - The best way to transport wine is through checked baggage. The only restrictions in this category relate to alcohol content. Travelers can't transport bottles with more than 70 percent alcohol content and can only take five liters of alcohol between 24 and 70 percent.
You can't check in until 24 hr before trip
No weather problems currently right now. There is heavy snowfall predicted for late this afternoon and into the evening in central Washington and in the Cascades, but not anywhere close to Spokane.
If it's arriving it's open
You should call the airline or try to book a flight on an airlines website.
Terminal 1-Lindbergh has TSA-operated security checkpoints in the following locations. The Skyway Security Checkpoint #10, located on the C/G connector bridge, is open from 5:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Carry on baggage only.
Not until October 1 2020.
Do you mean long term?
Starting December 2020 you will need a 'Real-ID' compliant license in order to fly domestically. Until then you should not need an enhanced ID or Passport unless you're flying outside of the United States. If there is an exception to these rules your airline will inform you.
EDLs will not be required in WA until October of 2020.
For 4 days? All parking lots are $2/hr until the daily max for that lot. Economy is $4, C-Concourse is $7.50, Outside $8, and Garage $10. The minimum you could pay for four days is $16-40 with maximums being $20-50 if you're over the 24 hour mark of that 4th day.
Yes you can.
The rules that apply to cigarettes also apply to vape. Use is only permitted in the designated areas and definently not on the plane.
Ditto
I'm pretty sure you can. It cannot be in checked baggage though or above in the compartment. It must be in carry on or on person
Would recommend 90 minutes prior to account for parking or transportation. If you are parking on-site, allow an extra 15 minutes to find a space and head to the terminal.
Never have. I would call the airlines. My son used a state id
Depends on day and time and if you hsve a TSA priority try fir 1 to 2 hours befire flight especially ig you connectibg to an international
Check the airline's website.
If you don't have any checked luggage 45 minutes is fine, if you are checking luggage plan on an hour
That is not a problem and there is plent of roadway room.
A passport is now required. You can also get the North America passport at a reduced cost
Check TSA site, all airports use TSA rules
Yes, they can. Most likely with one stop though. Check it out Expedia, Orbitz, Kayak, etc.
Airlines will print your itinerary as long as you have ID and the confirmation code
There is one located within each concourse (past security), and one at the Ramada across from Rental Cars.
24/7
Delta does not have a lounge at GEG
It is on a display boards inside airport
That is a question that needs to be asked to the air line you are flying. Generally speaking wheel chairs .and assistance is provided
Not to my knowledge.
There is a TSA Prepass lane, but concourse c lanes are incredibly short. You'll be through security quicker then you can put your shoes back on
$4/day in the Economy (Shuttle) lot. $8/day Outside. $10/day in the garage.
You will need to check airline website
Yes, assuming you can talk that is
There's multiple food options in the AB concourse, a Starbucks in the C concourse, and a snack and coffee stand in the baggage claim of the AB
Yes. You'll see the signs just before the terminal
Just drivers license you are traveling with in the United States
1 1/2 hours
Lol you need geography. NO.
I've made it on flights arriving as little as 20 minutes before, but I usually recommend an hour and a half.
1 hr 37 min or 104.7 miles
You can find specific information about luggage restrictions on the airline websites.
14 minute drive, 9 miles
3.4 Ounces by volume in 1 quart clear plastic bag ziplock preferred
No. You must have a passport with at least 6 month's validity on it for international or domestic flights. For domestic flights you may also use a valid government issued ID as well.
Starting October 1st you must bring a valid photo ID that complies with the new regulations. For more information please visit the TSA website.
Yes
Alaska, Southwest, and American are the best for flying with pets. Travel sites such as Kayak will help you find the cheapest fare possible.
Depends on what airline you booked with. Some airlines are non-refundable, or charge a fee for changing the date. Others like Southwest allow you to change for free.
Main cause of delays can be combination of snow, ice, and fog in winter time
Looks like most flights are running about 20-60 minutes late, one Alaska cancellation from Boise that was supposed to land an hour ago. (Sept 5th)
It was originally named after Major Harold Geiger. It was known as the Geiger Airport until it was changed to Spokane International Airport, but the GEG code representing Geiger Airport was kept.
