I love TRF so much! I’ve been going since I was a kid, and it never disappoints. Great food fun atmosphere, and really impressive entertainment. It can be a pricey trip, but it’s so worth it. Get dressed up and have your photo taken if you have the chance!
Jason Roy
A great way to spend a day with friends or family. So much to see and take in. Perfect for all ages with plenty of shows, events, spectacles and personalities! Stay for the fantastic fireworks show!
Jason B
This was our second year attending this festival. Once again we weren’t disappointed. I think the hardest part about going is choosing what day to attend. This year we went on the Saturday after thanksgiving. There was a Christmas theme. It was awesome. I think next year we will need to spend more than one day there!
Tour and Discover
This was the most fun we had as a family in a while. I think I had more fun here and spent less money then when we went to the State Fair of Texas. Parking was free, but the later you get there the farther you will park. The shows are fun and just seeing all the people dressed up was so cool. I think if we go back next year we will definitely dress up as well. All games and rides cost money but that’s nothing unusual. I wish we would’ve tried some of the amazing foods. The place was huge it almost seemed like different sections of the park were all different theme. I would definitely recommend at least experiencing this once. They even have camp grounds we’re you can camp out if you prefer to spend the weekend there. Can’t wait to go back next year

The 4 pack for adults offers a discount for four people at $79.95 plus a $6 processing fee. Normal prices online for four adults would run over a hundred dollars separately and over $120 at the gate. So its a discount package for buying in bulk.
Holly is incorrect. The website states the following. How much is admission? Gate Admission Adult admission (age 13 and older) is $30 per person Child admission (ages 5-12) is $15 per person Children age 12 and younger are admitted free of charge on Sundays. Children age 4 and younger are free every Festival day.
No. You do not get in free for dressing up.
Some folks did not wear mask. Whole families. I had my mask on and stayed clear. The restroom had plenty of space so that was good.
General parking is free, but they also have paid preferred parking (closer to the front) and valet service. I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure they're $10 & $15, respectively. If you have a handicap placard or plate, you get up front, too. The free parking will get you walking around half a mile. It's not terrible.
Just went to Walgreens and they no longer sell them
The camping is really fun. They've got beautiful land with enough pine trees to give plenty of shade. There's an adult area as well as a family-friendly area with a noise curfew. There's a giant bonfire as well. Pro-tip: when you're worn out from the park, there are large golf carts that can taxi you back to your camp site. Last year they charged something like $4/person.
November 5th and 6th are school days. The festival isn't open to the public on those days, it's just for students. https://www.texrenfest.com/school-days
Yes, they give you a stamp
Hello Wade- yes, members of the Military, Law Enforcement, and First Responders may purchase up to 4 tickets per festival day at the discount price of $20 per adult (age 13 and older) and $10 for children (ages 5-12). Tickets can be purchased only at the Will Call booth at the Festival entrance. Military and veterans must show Military ID to receive the discount. Law enforcement and first responders must provide current photo ID that identifies them as such.
I bought my tickets on Groupon and had no problem. I saved and screenshot them. They just have to scan it.
As of right now it will be opening, however a final call will be made early Aug. Please watch our Twitter, and Facebook page for updates
There's a lot of space for sale any food of you want it.
There is a place to park a RV and camp. They have some furnished units you can rent as well.
It ran from October 5 - December 1st this year. It's usually the first weekend of October through the last weekend of November.
I had trouble with my phone this year had to turn on my hotspot just to get to my tickets I purchased online was fairly frustrating
You can camp there!
Yes as far as I know they didn't check my huge purse it's the size of a bag. And I know I seen a few people with bookbags
No, tickets are for the year.
The entrance to the Festival is only on one road, but how you get to that entrance is up to you. It's suggested that you approach from the north to avoid the worst of the traffic approaching from the south.
You can if you want to or you can rent one before entering the festival itself. It's not a requirement.
Per the Texas Renaissance Festival website: Pets are not permitted on the festival grounds or campgrounds; however, service animals are not considered pets by the federal government and are welcome at The Texas Renaissance Festival.
I dont understandth these word you writeth down of.
You will need to bring your own. everything is wheelchair accessible
Not unless there is a new vendor this year....
The festival website offers discount tickets as well; $24.95 plus a processing fee for adults, and $12.95 plus fees for kids aged 5-12. Kids under age 5 are free every day!
Hello Mercedes. The Texas Renaissance Festival allows ADA compliant service animals. Emotional suppport animals and pets are not allowed.
Yes but they can search it and they don't allow certain weapons in and no outside booze
Possibly , you'll have to call/ email the offices & confirm. It would most likely have to be at one of the eateries or taverns on the grounds. I don't know if they have any designated areas for private parties. I know they do weddings there.
Actually camping is $30 If u get there on Thursday It's good till noon on monday.
You have to wear some sort of clothing
We have perferred parking which is ammaazing they transport u to front gate an back to your car i believe its like 5-10$ or regular parking which ull be lucky to even get near the front gate paid parking is the best way to go
Mostly light with periods of darkness.
They always sold once gates open
Both is encouraged, there is a slightly more formal dress code no Jeans and flipflops. Lots of people dress for a nightclub atmosphere, but people also wear their fancier renfair garb.
I can't answer that question Renato Flores, seeing how I've never been to the Renaissance Festival !
Im sorry but I dont have the number
No, but it's straight forward enough, you should easily recap your payment and fees. Ask about this on Reddit sub for local advice or some usent. I'd delete it off Renfest since it doesn't specifically add toward expectations of the festival.
Children ages 12 and under are half-price on Saturday and FREE on Sundays
Yes, if you have purchased a weekend camping ticket you can come in as early as Thursday afternoon to set up.
$29 for adults and $14 for under 12 yrs of age children if purchased on line. $34 and $17 if purchased at entrance. Customers save $5 if purchased on line. Sundays can be more expensive depending on day. Check schedule.
Yes ma'am the only thing that isn't allowed into fair is: real guns, outside food/drink, bad attitudes 😂
Yes on weekends only until the weekend of Thanksgiving. May just be Friday after Thanksgiving..not sure about the whole weekend.
The last weekend of November. Which I believe Is the 27th, fair is open that Friday - Sunday
No. It is open for camping on Fridays, but actual festival dates are Saturdays and Sundays only.
There are lots of shows and interactive games. As well as numerous period characters walking around interacting either guests. There truly is something for all ages. I also recommend the Kings Feast, a dinner show, but advance tickets are required as they sell out. They have a lunch time that we went to and it's around 2 hrs of all you can eat & drink with continuous entertainment.
Pull up website, pick the weekend you want to go click on it.And the admission site should come up
You can buy the tickets either on the TRF website or for cheaper tickets I usually go through Groupon or your local Walgreens
I don't think they did that.
The festival is only open on Saturday and Sunday (except the Fri after tgiving). If you're interested in camping, you can go to the campground on Friday and stay to reduce the travel/commute on Saturday morning.
If you purchase them through the website... I believe they are sent to the email address you provided.
You upload a picture of yourself on the texrenfest website when you purchase your season pass.
Camping starts Friday nights. Festival is open Saturday and Sunday. October 9th through Thanksgiving... 9 weekends. Also open Friday after Thanksgiving.
https://www.texrenfest.com/tickets-season-passes says when it will open and when you can buy tickets
Why even use punctuation if you're going to be intentionally avoiding its purpose?
Yes it is
I guess you could pregame in the campground before hand just don't over do it like i did🤷♂️ .
You can buy tickets on thier website. Might be the last for you but it will still be around next year.
Service animals only and typically they have to be wearing thier vest or have the card for it.
You will need both as some places only take cash, like the games.
Yes, kids under 12
MILITARY, FIRST RESPONDER, STUDENT, AND SENIOR discount tix available upon arrival on site. There are NO OTHER GATE SALES. Supposedly limited to a little over 1k tix daily. Tix are date specific. Group rates for 15+ are $20. Otherwise adults are $30, children $15. $26 and $12 on Groupon.Season pass is $323+. Camping is $35. Preferred parking, $29, valet, $40. Also check HEB. It's best to check the website listed here for more detailed info before going. There are other paid activities. texrenfest.com
Kids get in free on Sunday
Gates open at 9am
There is a wheelchair and scooter rental outside the front gate, but they do not take reservations. It is first come, first serve. Unfortunately, from what I have heard, due to Covid-19, they are supposedly not renting them this year. I suggest you call the main TRF office to verify that, though.
You'd need to call the TRF office. All concessions go through there as far as I know.
Wearing a mask is requested, but won't be required unless the state or local government mandates it. Please read here: https://www.texrenfest.com/safety-guidelines
On July 18, Saturday, there is the Sale of the Century. The tickets that are sold during this sale are date/weekend specific. Follow up by viewing the Festival's website and social media platforms. There are updates on each regularly as things in the region update.
And
The final weekend for 2019 was this past one. November 30th thru December 1st.
Texas Renaissance festival runs from the first weekend in October to the last weekend in November.
Yes, you can buy tickets at the entrance. Last I checked, they were about $35 for an single ticket
Take beltway 8 to FM 249 go all the way to magnolia and they have signs to tell you where
Not necessarily! You can have the tickets on your phone too if that's more convenient for you.
Not that I'm aware of. It's old England / Europe - mostly England ... Shakespearean times.
Groupon sometimes. HEB. Their email newsletter is the best for discounts. Just gotta be on the look out.
It isnt easy there. It depends how restrictive you want to be. You. An get sauteed mushroom for instance but they likely came into contact with a meat product. They also have desserts but most are fried. I did see avocado toast this time so there is some variety for sure.
Different themes every weekend. But still worth it.
They range, you'll probably spend at least $25-$30
They do have handicapped parking too but it is still a little bit of a walk. The trails can be rough but we saw a few people there in wheelchairs and with strollers.
Yes there are professional bathrooms that are handicap inside the festival.
No just primitive sites
Tickets are required for entry regardless of costume.
Yes, 249 takes you straight to it. We did beltway to 249 from MoCity and got there in under a hour
I noticed that they were out the day I checked but had more the next day.
If you Google Texas Renaissance Festival, you can see everything they're doing into December. You need chrome if you want to print tickets, but it's worth it to skip the line.
They are not open thanksgiving day but they are open ye old black friday it is the only friday they are open all other days are sat and sun
It covers England, Scotland, Germany, Spain, France and Greece. 1145 ish....
4 and less is free
Groupon has a deal that expires sometime today for both 1st weekend and any weekend tickets. I also saw someone post a Costco endcap of tickets. I'm not sure beyond that.
Do you mean School Days, where the schools come to have theatre, music, and art contests? They are Nov. 5 and 6 this year. https://www.texrenfest.com/school-days Kids under 12 are free every Sunday, per the main page's FAQ.
Try calling the main office number they will know
Thank you everyone, and see you at the fair!!!!
They are, just peace tie
Honestly , get your Tix ahead of time. Like a month or so. Then save up a lil between then and your visit to get some extra spending cash while you're there. That's what I do. It's worth it imo. Some don't think so and that's ok. Either way you dont even need to spend on the rides to have a good time. Last time we went we didn't go on any but still watched the shows and had some food(yup, extra also).
Hotels in Tomball will likely be your best bet. Holiday Inn Express and such.
At 8am, Sat., May 18th, 75,000 tickets will go on sale...1/3 the price. VIP parking passes also for sale. ONLINE only!! TexRenFest Sale of the Century.
Please contact them for open dates. They are are working farm/ranch. I have visited in the past to pick fruit at different times for produce in season. Otherwise, the other posts are correct. Open every weekend in October and now with extra days thru Thanksgiving weekend. If you sign up to receive emails, you will be notified of advanced purchase sales and discounted tickets. Hope this helps. I love the Ren Fest..looking forward to the 40th anniversary year!
One day adult tickets are $27, but you can buy weekend passes at a discounted price
There are some like jousting the rest should be on there website.
You can get cheaper tickets at HEB or Kroger as well as discounted tickets at Costco. They can range from $12-25pp
Hi Tammy- it sounds like a great idea! We'll pass it on to the King!
Try following their facebook page for updates. :)
Yes...!!
Contact the craft coordinator at the festival. Must festivals have a jury system to get in. Most shops are owned, not rented.
Kids get in free on Sunday this year.
Kids 12 and younger are free today. There are no other discounts available.
Hello Jim, Yes you may bring in backpacks and purses. All bags will be subject to inspection at the front gate.
Groupon tickets purchased for Friday, November 23 will be honored on that date only. No other Groupon tickets will be accepted.
Yes, active duty military and veterans can purchase up to 4 tickets at the discount price of $20 for adults and $12 for children (age 5-12). Simply show some form of military ID at the ticket booth.
Hello Mercedes only ADA compliant service animals are allowed in the Festival. No pets or comfort animals are allowed.
Its only open in the fall and its last weekend is a 3day weekend following Thanksgiving.
Adult tickets are $ 32 at admission and $ 24.95 on our website texrenfest.com. Children ages 5-12 pay $ 15 at admission and $ 12.95 on website. Children 12 and under are free on Sundays.
Hello Lianne yes you can rent wagons at Belrose rentals located in the front gate area.
Hello Don several food shoppes offer breakfast entrees. The Queens Pantry has everything from Scotch eggs to cinnamon rolls, apple cinnamon porridge and more plus gourmet coffees. The Knights of the Round Skillet have fresh made breakfast burritos. That’s just a couple of options.
Unfortunately no, there are no discounts or free refills with the souvenir cup
Hello. Yes- if you go to the Information Booth located just inside the Festival entrance, they can direct you to a facility you can use.
Hello- The King's Feast is a two-hour dinner theater show, featuring music, comedy, and specialty acts as well as a five- course all you can eat prime rib dinner. Wine, ale, and beer are included. It is located in the climate controlled, fully covered King's Arms Feasting Hall. You are welcome to come in costume, but it is not required and you won't miss out on any of the fun if you don't dress up. You can find complete information on the King's Feast website, https://www.kingsfeast.com/.
I believe they should be. Check their website to be sure. I remember it's saying the kids are free on Sunday. I don't remember what the age limit is.
No. I think sunday
No food can be taken inside but you can say go to your car for a picnic and go back in and finish seeing things
Yes. Ive been camping several times and never felt like it would be an issue. They have a shower area but i haven't been to it. They also jave port-a-pots.
Best of luck getting an Uber or Lyft to come out there. You may be able to get them to drop you off, but I highly doubt they'd come back to pick you up.
The weekend after Thanksgiving is always the last weekend and it is Christmas holiday-themed.
Very slippery especially the newer Florence market section
Anything you want. I have seen pretty much any outfit you could imagine at renfest...
Online or front gate. Online you get a little bit of a discount and they'll scan the tickets right off your phone
They can scan. But, get it ready before getting to the gate (after parking) bc some cell phone services have a dead zone right there at that spot.
32.00 at the gate. Only on Sat and Sun through Nov Hope you enjoy!
Hello! Yes we do offer a $20 discount ticket for seniors age 62 and older as well as active duty military and veterans. You must purchase the tickets at the Will Call booth and provide proper ID.
Online at their website: https://www.etix.com/ticket/v/12954/texas-renaissance-festival They also sell the tickets for about $5 more at the gates
Yes, it's right outside the gate. $24 a day for regular wheelchair. $14 an hour for motorized. Check out their website for more info. https://www.texrenfest.com/ufaqs/do-you-rent-motorized-scooters-wheelchairs-strollers-or-wagons/
You have to leave the cooler in the car. If you get there early or choose Preferred Parking, you can get your hand stamped, hit the cooler for lunch, then go back in. That's what we did as broke college kids ;-)
Hello the gates close at 6:30 pm and the Festival ends at 8 pm.
They do not offer discounted tickets to military. There are so shops inside that offer military discounts though.
We bought a pkg at Sam's Club once.
Tickets at the gate are $32/adult, $17/kid (kids are free on sundw, age 5-12), children under 5 are free every day. You can buy tickets online for $25/adult and $13/kid. If you plan to go next year, sign up for the email mailing list off the website. They have multiple sales leading up to opening weekend.
Cash is king! Most vendors accept debit cards but most food stalls do not. Also if you buy from multiple vendors your card might get put on hold from the bank as they sometimes come from different cities. There are ATMs available too but the fee is quite large.
At the front gate tickets are $32 for adults. Online it is $24.95 + $3 fee for adults.
No. Some food vendors may be able to make you something vegan. Go to the Texas Renaissance Festival website I believe there is a list of the food vendors and check to see if there is anything close to what you are looking for. Hope that helps. If there is nothing listed on the website check the program they sell on the grounds it costs $5 there is a list of all the food areas inside.
Yes, children 12 and younger are admitted free of charge every Sunday.
No discounts for dressing up that's the fun part of it at the gate cost more than getting ahead of time could save anywhere from 5 to 10 bucks a ticket I think
The price for camping is by the vehicle, not by the patron. And it is 25 dollars per vehicle.
Adult is 13+ and tickets are 32$ at the gate. There are discounted tickets available on the TRF website. Also free tickets with a meal purchase at Genghis Grill and Papa Johns. Enjoy the faire!
Children 5-12 years old $15. Check out the website for more information. Plus you can find discount tickets online.
Tickets online $24.95each day...Saturday or Sunday kids on Sunday are free
Depends heavily on how much you plan to eat and drink. $7 per item is about average for both.
No. Vist the FAQ section of the website for more information. Concealed and open carried handguns are not allowed.
Also in future watch the TRF Facebook. They have sales way before the season begins.
Look also fir the sale of the century
Hello Karen, Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, we do not have any areas that are designed for sensory stimulation and focus especially for children on the spectrum. However, that is a good idea that we will take forward as we plan new play areas.
Each weekend has a different theme me personally would say any weekend but the heros and villian weekend for the real authentic feel
From the FAQ on their website: No dogs or other pets are allowed on the festival grounds, except Service Dogs. We prefer that Service Dogs have proper identification (vest, documentation, etc.) when you bring them into the festival gates. Service dogs may be taken to any area in the festival.
Vendors are only allowed by juried selection. Contracts are negotiated individually. If you start the application process now you might get in for next year.
You can go to the weekend event but if there is no more spots for the rv I don't think you can leave it out of the camp grounds or the security might give you a ticket but if you can ask someone in the camp grounds if they can make some room for your rv I'm sure they could do that if you can get it in the camp grounds
The last weekend in September is the first weekend. That is the 29th of September. As for how much you need to figure out if your camping or doing the after party's.
Hello Bruce we have a parade through the village every Festival day at noon.
The 45th annual Texas Renaissance Festival will begin September 29 and run weekends through November 25th.
We purchased VIP pass to park closer due to physical issues, and when we got there they said there were no spots available! What was the point of paying for it? We landed 18 rows out. Finally got up to front to see several open spots! Next day someone noticed the disabled permit and got us closer. Fair was a great experience, but parking another story.
I think around $25 at the gate, but they sell them at stores like Randall's for less. They also have a super sale once a year in May and they sell for $11. You have to follow them on Facebook to find out what day that happens.
Last weekend in September thru last weekend of November you pay to park there is lots of food, beer and shows
In 2017, it started the first weekend of October and concluded the weekend following Thanksgiving. 2018 will open on September 29 and run through November 25
Yea I'm pretty sure you can.
I have no idea. I would call the venue directly and ask. Have fun!
Dogs are not allowed in the festival or camp grounds unless they are a service animal and always leashed up
The last day of the festival is the Sunday after Thanksgiving every season.
Yes
Yes, there is a booth that offers wagons, strollers, and wheel chair rentals for the day.
Yes, you can. They also rent them if you'd prefer, but prices vary depending on what you're renting.
Sorry but this isn't really a question someone can help you with. If you're having an issue you may want to contact the Ren Fest people or try their help booth.
Take as many as you like, but the shop owners have signs posted
Not inside the faire, but yes in the campgrounds.
No, not open on Thanksgiving day. The Festival will be open for it's final weekend of the season on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday following Thanksgiving.
9am- 7pm every weekend thanksgiving weekend is the last one. Every weekend is a different theme
You can buy prefered parking. Last year trying to leave was very difficult at the end of the festival because they released folks from the regular parking before the preferred parking. We waited more than an hour to get out from preferred parking. I would recommend going with General parking and a longer walk in so you can get out in a more timely manner.
No, but you can leave in your car, get hand stamped when leaving, go to car, and come back in.
It's also the ghost walk. Supposedly, the TRF grounds are good for paranormal activity, and there's a guided tour after fireworks.
Kids 12 and under are free on Sundays only. Children ages 4 and under are free every day of the festival.
Donr know adult I think35$ and kids 12 and under get in free on Sunday but kid 6 and under get in free both days
There is
The charges for ATM withdraws will make you want to bring cash. Food places want cash only but vendors and shops take Visa and MasterCard.
Save yourself the headache and print them out
Gate Admission Adult admission (age 13 and older) is $30 per person Child admission (ages 5-12) is $15 per person Children age 12 and younger are admitted free of charge on Sundays. Children age 4 and younger are free every Festival day. Senior Citizens (age 62 or older) may purchase discount tickets at the price of $20 for each. These discounts are ONLY available at the gate with valid photo ID. Members of the Military, Law Enforcement, and First Responders may purchase up to 4 tickets per festival day at the discount price of $20 per adult (age 13 and older) and $10 for children (ages 5-12). Tickets can be purchased only at the Will Call booth at the Festival entrance. Military and veterans must show Military ID to receive the discount. Law enforcement and first responders must provide current photo ID that identifies them as such.
Nope, they have a scanner so they can check your tickets on your phone now. Got in last weekend that way :) it helps to print them just in case, it is in the middle of nowhere so sometimes their cell signal cuts out and the machines go down, but we got in just fine.
Yes
Bring your military identification and they will discount the tickets for you.
Costume rentals are as follows: children $8-$22, adult $18-$39.50, adult upper class $42-$65 Costume purchases are highly variable.
Yeah you can't bring your on things maybe like a water but that's it you can sneak it in using a stroller tho
It's 25.95 per. I would ask the cashier for Renaissance tickets. As far as I know it shouldn't matter which Walgreens
You buy them at both. Also other places have them too, Costco has a deal.
Not exactly. There's parking pretty close and sometimes they have golf carts that will shuttle you. Last year they were $4/person
Roman Bacchanal
Service animals only
Yes
If you buy your tickets online or at Walgreens and get there after the gates open at 9am. It is fairly short and moves pretty fast. If buy ticketed at the gate, you pay more amd you have to wait in line twice. The ticket lines are slower than the admission lines. If you get there before the gates open, the lines will be long but move fast when the gates start opening.
Yes, however I highly recommend renting an electronic one from them. They cost around $60 for a whole day and less for a few hours.
$30 at the gate. $23.95 online. Participating Walgreens Stores also sell discounted tickets.
Open? 9am Close? 8pm Start? Two weeks ago End? Weekend of Thanksgiving.
September 30-november 26th
I dont know but you can maybe look it up on their website?
From thw FAQ section of their website: Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the festival gates; however you may bring in food for infants and toddlers. You may bring in one unopened bottle of water per guest. For individuals and families dealing with food allergies, you may bring food items inside the festival gates. IMPORTANT: You must be able to verify the allergies with a note from your physician; medical back up goes a long way to help you get what you need.
All different types. Expect any where from 4-20
General $30 Adults $15 Children
Alcohol and it's a TABC thing.
No you do not. Children that young are free. But children under twelve are free on sundays.
Drama is 7 and music 8
There are no new entrances or parking lots. There is ongoing construction on the two major roadways leading in being 1488 and 249
Deaths tip and tied around the spear and yes there allowed
Nope! Was just there and all looks non flooded.
The TRF site might have the details. Otherwise, I'd call or go directly to the gate. Hope this helps.
I've always printed them out.
A few of the bars do but not all. It's better to have cash and faster. Not many of the food places take credit cards.
Try Walgreens
When we went last year, it was $13.00 for a gyro. No sides come with it. The chicken sandwiches were also around $13.00. Bf paid $7.00 a beer. I hope this helps.
Yes
It surprising has zero damage. No flooding, they spent a lot making sure drainage was up to par. There today and was surprised nothing is muddy
Today there was no mud, it's all dry. Was shocked. Vendor told me they spent a lot on drainage
