I worked at the texas renniassance faire, you want to dress as authentic as you can, i did a merchant outfit and happened to have a black eye the whole season. But an ol english outfit is best, get creative and the details really add up. Leather boots, hat, full outfit!
You have to wear a costume
They have a job fair around August. Watch the Texas Renaissance festival page, they'll post it. The positions vary from sales to character actors. But the rules regarding mingling with patrons can be strict depending on the job.

Just look up Renaissance faire clothes and pick something to wear. But you do have to wear a costume. I would recommend a comfortable outfit (like a wench outfit) if you are working in one of the booths.

Also, take into consideration what booth or item you might be selling. If you love Chainmail, rock an outfit that supports it! (sp, sorry if I spelled chainmail incorrect.)
