Some folks did not wear mask. Whole families. I had my mask on and stayed clear. The restroom had plenty of space so that was good.
If your sick, don't go. Wear your mask if you feel comfortable. A lot of people were not wearing theirs and everyone seemed fine. You'll need to wear them to go into most of the vendor shops.
As long as you maintain 6 foot distance, you may remove your mask. Most of the events are outdoors. When close proximity to others respect wearing a mask. Disinfectant dispensers are throughout the Festival grounds. Multiple bathroom facilities throughout the grounds with soap and water for hand washing.
The shops, unless otherwise specified by that individual shop, are requiring masks inside. The bars And shows are posting whether or not masks are required. There were families and groups that were walking around outside without masks. The number of patrons allowed in and allowed to camp has been cut back by more than half. They are taking precautions and enforcing what they are legally able to. If you are concerned I would suggest opting out this season.
If you're asking if they help prevent the spread of disease the answer is yes. If you're asking if they are required at the renaissance festival the answer is yes. If you're asking if they are enforcing the mask rule inside the festival the answer is no, all staff wears them but most of the crowd was not.
