Yes. The only discounts are from sales, special retailers, special events and the kids free Sunday deal (which i believe is for under 12s, but I don't remember off the top of my head). It's always good to get into the spirit, though!
Yes I think so that is what happened to me
Under the FAQ section of the Texas Renaissance Festival official web page it states, "While we love our guests to come in costume and join in the fun, there is no discount given to those dressed in costume."
With a costume it's free. My kids didn't require a ticket when they got in free.
