History is great. I enjoyed it very much.

This was an awesome experience! I loved imagining what it was like back in the day. The museum was super helpful in explaining the history and helping with mental imagery! 10/10 would go again. I went twice and brought my friend the second time!

Sadly, the Fort Clinch pier was damaged by Hurricane Matthew in October 2016. ... The pier at Fort Clinch State Park was 2,409 feet long. After engineering evaluations, a decision was made to remove it. Piece by piece, the pier began to vanish at the end of April 2017. About six weeks later it was completely gone.
Yes. Bring fishing poles too. Sometimes you get lucky! My grandson enjoyed casting and waiting for a bite. He's 4.
Yes it is, my first time in we payed 5.00 for a truck load, enjoyed it
No canoe rentals available but saw a few vehicles brought their own kayaks.
Yes!!! Deep Woods Off works like a charm!
When we were there a couple of weeks ago, there were dogs on leashes....and while we didn't see any on the beach, there were dog tracks, indicating that someone had their dog with them.
No there are not. You can bring one and launch. Beware of the tidal currents. That is why swimming is not permitted.
26 dollars a night i believe. You can double check on the website.
Its an excellent backdrop and is perfect for weddings inside the Fort. And the answer is, yes!
I would say 1-2 hours for the fort. The beaches of Fort Clinch are very nice and excellent for hunting sharks teeth. Be sure to allow for some beach time as well.
Yes, but not everywhere. I do not recommend taking your dog if you plan to take a tour...
Yes they have electricity. The camp sites get filled up 11 months in advance, except tent camping you may have better luck. Tent sites may Not have electricity. Sign up online and check back often.
It cost $35.00 per night which includes tax and fees. Florida residents get a discount. However NO sites are available for the next year except for a few tent sites. Those are very sparse. Very hard campground to secure a site. Nice sites though. They have a river side and beach side. Only about 12 sites on beach.
The camp sites are booked out way in advance but there are sometimes cancellations. You just have to be in the right place at the right time
No
Not sure on this. You would have do research and call around local authorities
Not sure about campers at Ft. Clinch. I would call first
Ft. Clinch offers Beach and River camp sites. Water, electricity, and dump stations are available.
No, but they have places to ride and lock bikes up. There are bike rental places in the little center street a mile or two away.
There is a map you can down load from the website
no pier just the jetties
They have several parking spots but we like the small one on far right of fort. Usually current not bad for wading to cast for bait, throwing line, and cooling off. Take an umbrella.
There is a small museum in one of the buildings in the center of the court yard of the fort with some Confederate items displayed I recall correctly
They have fire rings with a grill that flops over to cook on.
I would not snorkel in these waters...murky water..rip currents..
I'm not sure but problem cheaper
There's no 🎣 at this place
Not inside the fort area. Pets are allowed on the trails and camping areas.
Yes they do. Technically, the sewer is a dump off. Not in each individual campsite. They also have full shower and bathroom's
Sorry you would have to call
Yes, there is a fee shortly after you pull into the park. The road to the campground is past that as is the road to the fort..its a beautiful drive. There is another fee if you want to go into the fort which I highly recommend but you can walk the beaches..
No
Cash or credit/debit cards
didn't see any one crabbing there but did see people crabing off the docks in the marshs
Dogs aren't allowed on the beach or in building, but we bring our dogs on the hiking trails often and are offered bones. Dogs are allowed on fernandina beach. Leash laws apply both places.
Park is $6 for car load, $4 for single or motorcycle. To enter fort it an additional 2.50 each
It is state park. Not national. Worth going. Beautiful.
I don't know all the rules but they don't "allow" alcohol and dogs must be kept on a leash.
You can drive to beach go toward beach campground then take a right on the road before you get all the way there its also a bird watch there have fun beautiful place
Depends on the time of year for most bugs but the beaches are free from most pests.
Fort Clinch is a 19th-century brick fortress begun in 1847 after the end of the Second Seminole War. It was named in honor of General Duncan Lamont Clinch, important figure in the First and Second Seminole Wars. The only battle to occur at Clinch was when Union troops recaptured the fort in 1862 after Confederate forces seized control the previous year. Fort Clinch served as the base of Union operations in the area throughout the Civil War. It is located inside Fort Clinch State Park. The park offers camping and access to beautiful beaches! I highly recommend!
Yes....great place to camp....probably already full for shrimp fest weekend
Free Speech is allowed anywhere as long as it's not creating a problem or causing visitors to feel unwanted. With free speech, I would pray and hope people consider this place being a place for everyone including families with small children that don't need to be subjected to grown up problems and get scared away by those that persist on free speech being their right. My question would be why a State Park would be necessary as there are plenty of places to speak other than a family oriented park. It sounds selfish to me to choose a State Park, but that is my opinion and right to feel that way as is yours. Oh wait, people don't care whether they are selfish or not as long as it's fits their metopia agenda and their rights. If this country were to consider others more it could have a positive affect.
Oh yeah you can but only on the paved roads, not on dirt trails. Of course scooters dont ride very well on soft sand anyway
