I am planning a group trip....We are planning on going to visit the civil war sight. How much time should we alot for seeing the civil war buildings, etc.?

I would say 1-2 hours for the fort. The beaches of Fort Clinch are very nice and excellent for hunting sharks teeth. Be sure to allow for some beach time as well.

2 hours will more than cover blogs. Add 1 hour for views of seacoast

Family of 6, When my family and I went, we took 2 hours, we love history and taking pictures. We would have been there longer but the actors were not there.

I would say that you would need about half a day to explore the fort.

My family and I went through it in less than an hour. That said, none of the actors were there and my family is not much into history, so you might want to. plan a little longer.
