Yes!!! Deep Woods Off works like a charm!
The winter has been longer than normal and one would think that it would decrease the bugs. I would say check the wind conditions. The higher the winds the less the bugs. FORT CLINCH is my go to place and the bugs aren't that bad. But invest in a thermcell and you will have no problems in camp.
Not any worse than other parks that time of year. In May, I would worry more about no-see-ems. Natrapel is the only thing ive found that actually works with those them.
It will be a bit warmer then compared to March. Always prepare for them as it is Florida. ( Native Floridian of 48 years). :) Hope you have a safe and wonderful camping trip. Beautiful place!
As soon as the weather warms up bugs are out,Skin so soft by Avon actually is also know as a good mosquito repellent.
I would agree with the response from Ernest Taylor and I would add, it's Florida and around bodies of water so are a good guess. How bad the bugs are varies based several facts so just come prepared either way. It is worth the visit.
