If you are looking for a nice getaway that the whole family can enjoy this is a wonderful place to stay! You can relax to the sounds of the river and waterfalls from just outside your balcony. You get beautiful views of the garden right from your room. The resort feels like a small town, so without ever leaving the resort you can enjoy the greenery, check out the shops, and get some food. If you are traveling with children, like I was, then this place is lots of fun for you and the kids. With all the indoor and outdoor attractions, you can spend all day at the waterpark without getting bored. I visited this resort with my family, and I cannot wait to come back!

We have visited this hotel for family fun on numerous occasions. It's a must see for holidays (the Lights at Opryland, over 3 million Christmas lights!), but they also have themed decor on other occasions, for instance for Halloween and spring. We recently finally took a ride on their boat - yes, there's a river inside the hotel. My favorite fun fact is that the water in the river comes from 1,700 rivers around the world - it was sent to Nashville in bottles. There's a lot of restaurants and stores to choose from, the garden is gorgeous and a pleasure to walk in if the weather is not great outside. Makes you feel like it's endless summer there. The plants are all very well maintained. The staff is friendly and smiling, never in your way. Everyone lets you take plenty of pictures, which I always appreciate.

Was here over the weekend, the place was sold out They must not be fully staffed. 30-minute lines to get coffee in the morning, and 2 1/2 hour wait to get into any of the restaurants on Saturday night. For a place where you are paying $300+ a night, the best options for food are the Food Trucks they have outside. And 4 drinks from one of the lobby make-shift bars were $50. Very pretty property and the staff was good considering the situation. But the property was not prepared for a full house. One of the restaurants lost our credit card, which someone the next day tried to use. And the phone in the room was broken the entire time, even after we informed the front desk twice. Had higher expectations but we still had a nice time, should have been much nicer. I understand the lack of employees, but if you aren't able to provide a premium product, you shouldn't ask for a premium price. Crazy thing is, I would probably go back under different circumstances. It is a very beautiful property. Landscaping is beautiful.

Been years since my last visit & the atmosphere outside the rooms are still amazing. So much to experience & so much to see. Especially if you have kids. This is a great place for them with LOTS of areas to explore & experience. Unfortunately, guessing COVID has taken its toll. The rooms did not live up to the cost. When I arrived there was left over syrup dotted on my counter from I’m guessing the previous guests, which my hands & computer found. Yuk! The shower head had pink stuff building on it, & it was very dusty in the room. The front desk was good about sending someone up to clean up the room, but they only did the main room, & left streaks on the TV. Seemed like a very half a&$ed attempt, but I’m assuming staffing has been a challenge. For what you pay, It’s a “grand” experience outside the room, but not inside. Don’t get me started with the cost of parking per day. It should be valet at those prices!

They should give full disclosure of cost.
Good question I'm wondering too.
Park at the mall and walk across the lot and save $29.00.
Yes there are discounts for being a Tennessee resident. They also do discounts for teachers and the military. Just make sure you bring your ID.. hope this helps
Friends who we were traveling with had their service dog, no problem.
There is a freaking town in there. You can get way more than milk. Good luck not getting lost.
I believe they do call admin front office or guest services to see their premier offers and accommodations
Many, many... I took hundreds on a business trip and am returning with my wife for our 5th Anniversary. I also happened to be taking a photo of the wonderful garden terrace from a distance when I saw a lucky guy drop to one knee and propose to his girlfriend. She said yes :). I shared the photo with them 5 minutes later when I found my way down to the terrace :)
Yes, between Opry Mills and the hotel, plus I think there is another one to downtown Nashville several times a day. I don't know of one to the airport.
If you're referring to the current list of Christmas activities, I see too many for a brief synopsis. Search on Google for this exact string, "ICE Featuring a Charlie Brown Christmas"...the first result from Marriott is a full page of current activities & pricing info. Hope this helps!
Yes. We went there on Veterans Day, just remember your mask.
It seems that we did get some kind of military discount, but you have to ask for it.
Yes..but the water park is only available to guests and you have to book ahead of time
Park at the mall by the movie theater for free and walk in. It isn't that far of a walk and we were there to walk anyway!
Yes! They're very helpful
They don't... I'm not sure why, but they don't
From my observation it would appear so, they were not available for our trip. It would be worth it, I feel, to call the hotel directly
Yes you can your the public areas of the hotel. Tip: park in the mall parking lot behind the hotel. Just walk across and go in the back door. Otherwise it costs $32 to park in the hotel parking lot.
I think so but I am not sure plus it's really expensive.
The grounds are abosulity amazing, with climate control. The cafe food was very good as well.
Yes, you must be a guest to use the pool and water slides, the slides are part of a water park, it is extra even for hotel guests, unless it comes in their hotel package, thenlight show is foer eveeyone
Actually there are a lo toe more than 2800 rooms. All in a five story building and it is breathtaking
The mall is close. We walked from the hotel to the mall to do some shopping. Its very easy
Parking does cost & it's not cheap... It doesn't cost to walk around though.
It's not a Keurig but it's a pod coffee maker. It's easy to use... But I did not like the room coffee. It tastes like it's been roasted a lot. The good thing is is that there are Starbucks locations and even Starbucks vending machines all over the resort.
The indoor pools are heated at both the Spa aka Cascades Indoor Pool and The Soundwaves Waterpark.
Park over at the mall, walk through where Ice and the snow tubing is set up. No fee to park at the mall or to roam the atriums and see the decorations.
Backstage tour
Anyone can walk in and do the best restaurants and boat ride
There is a Gaylord opryland resort store where you can buy a mattress!
NO FREE PARKING AT ALL WHATS SO EVER DARLING ,TO SELF PARK YOUR CAR IS $29.00$ & VALET PARKING IS 32 OR 34 .00$ BUT WAS WORTH ME NOT HAVING TO WALK FAR ESPECIALLY DUE TO HEAT OR IF IT RAINS .
There is a small refrigerator in the room but no microwave, at least not in the room in the Delta section that I was in.
Yeah i didn't see security but i parked by lyft and uber lot. Which is free for an hour.
6 floors including suites and they have escalators and elevators
My room faced toward the river in the Delta. Because of the glass ceilings, I got a little bit of daylight but not an extensive amount. There were three mirrors in my room: one over the sink in the bathroom, one over the sink outside of the bathroom, and a floor length mirror on the outside of the bathroom door. I stayed in the magnolia section.
Yes
Just pay for parking, about $30 a day.
The grounds are open for anyone to walk around and enjoy. It is specially beautiful during Christmas time. There are restaurants and bars to enjoy even if you don't have a room.
4pm but if the room is ready before they will let you check in, I was able to get into my room by 11am so yes just check the morning of you check-in day
It really depends, it can be pretty pricey but very much worth it. I've seen rooms for $120 a night n then I've seen rooms for about $400 a night, you just have to look out for price changes as they happen.
Yes I just took my family. But it is limited by capacity.
I've been there as late as 11 PM, closer to midnight and still been able to walk through. The later it gets, the quieter it gets though due to the guests. That's my experience, hope it helps!
Now? We went last night. Yep. Bring your mask...rubber gloves....garbage bag to poke your head thru. Maybe your own lysol spray can. Jeez. Kidding. But mask police are walking around.
Yes. Anyone may tour the hotel. It is asked that you wear a face covering though.
Very well all patrons must wear masks
Employees and guest wear masks, social distancing is in place with signs on floor. Hand santizer was throughout. Cleaning service was only on request. They brought bagged linen to room on request. Some social activities were restricted like arts and crafts.
Nov 13, 2020 to Jan 3 2021 Christmasatgaylordopryland.marriott.com
Yes. They have rentals....... https://www.bradleyhealthservices.com/bradleyrentalsopryland
I emailed the Opryland Soundwaves group a question and they got back to me pretty quickly and were very helpful.tickets.gaylordopryland.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=232
Yes, but parking is $32.
I believe front doors and side doors to get to rooms. Unfortunately, you can't park in the occupants parking lot because of needing to pay through your stay. You would have to walk in the front door.
Not sure about in room hot tub, but yes to the king beds.
On christmas season. Nov 15 start
On the 25th when the hotel opens. Water park too
I'm in the hotel. There is no damage at all. Tornado track was far from here
You don't have to pay for parking if you park in the mall parking lot, and it's not far. If you park, it's 32.00. If you get a small bite at a resteraunt inside, they will reimburse the parking cost. Of course the resteraunts are expensive so might be best to park in the mall parking lot. We do that, as and it's about a five minute walk. Well worth it!
I believe it was the founders last name.
Yes! There was a microwave in the rooms in the Magnolias
Yes. I got creamers from the coffee stands located throughout the convention center area , they do have powdered cream in the rooms.
32 dollars to park or 40 valet (if the lot is not full)
Agreed it's $32 a day for some unknown reason since there's an insane amount of unused spots
Yes, and get a room with a balcony so you can drink your coffee while you watch the activities around you!
I believe every hour. But if you stay down town you can walk to it.
the gaylord has valet parking, but they have free parking near the entrance.
Where we ate we didn't need any reservations at all. They have different places to eat and is across from a mall with different restaurants to eat there as well.
Boutique stores, news, magazine, pharmacy, memorabilia, jewelry stores, restaurants
Yes, you can book it when you book your room or buy a ticket after you get to the hotel.
I don't know. They are already starting to get Christmas decorations up.
Not unless you pay a pet fee and then only stay in designated areas for them.
Park at the mall and walk over it is free
We Ubered in when we went to visit. It coat $25 from Broadway near the Bridgestone arena for 3 of us to go to Opryland Hotel. We figured we'd have a beer or two and would let Uber drive us
Always something to do in and around the hotel, you will love it.
Alot of times you can ask the concierge they can help you
Just went in July, Yes there is a parking charge $35.00 per day and $45.00 per day, per person for the waterpark.
There is a water feature (I'm pretty sure in delta) that shoots a bunch of water streams in the air to music. It happens every couple hours i believe. They usually shoot a bunch of water around 8. Sorry if I'm wrong it's been a while.
Yes
You can pay for and use the water park, even if you're not staying at the hotel
Depends. There are many different places to choose from. They kind of have different schedule. Enjoy. It is a great place to visit!
Sorry I have no idea😏
Call the resort or check the website. It is a separate purchase
There is, check the website or call the front desk for more info
We ate there and really enjoyed it. We did not get food poisoning. I'm sorry you got sick ☹️
The Chris Doughtie suite. Ask him about it.
A little under 1900 rooms. Make sure you have a good pair of shoes because this place is massive.
Depends on if you're a guest at the resort, higher price if not. Not automatically included in booked room.
Cannot say, I did not participate in that.
You can proceed to get into the building and ask hotel info desk for check what your title of meetings. It's fairy big building but you can find within 10 minutes I'm sure.
I don't know, but you can probably check on the website, or play it into a song identifier. There is the chance it was written exclusively for the show, so you may not find it at all. Still, hope you find it!
In the Delta section I had a fridge, but not a microwave.
I'm for sure it would be an inside event in the hotel place is huge I think it could host anyting
Do you need a room key to get into the pool area
The water park is called Soundwaves and is housed within the "campus." Gaylord Opry (Opryland) is the hotel and there are quite a few different areas within, but all are accessable regardless of which section you stay in.
You can also goggle it & it will give you all the information for the month
U can call them to see, i cant answer that. Be expensive though. Get sperate hotel
It would be a lot better to call the front desk and chat with the customer service staff, I was there for Christmas sorry I can't help.
Yes, inside the hotel
3 and up is required to pay and under is free. Pricing can vary depending on the day you're there, too.
The price changes based on season similar to most hotels
You would have to call the resort directly to answer that
No😊 only ice tube slide
Yes
They have an entrance set up to collect and scan tickets.
I am not sure but the convention center has a hotel inside so you should be able to go around up to 11 p.m.
There is the Opry Mills Mall right next door.
No you can come any tim and walk around without been a guest
Yes
They opened Saturday at 10am and closed at 9 pm
I was told that Summer is peak, however, Nashville is always popular.
They do. I believe it's $19 1 way & $38 round trip. Taxis were typically cheaper than uber
Not yet
Food court inside the Opry Mills Mall nextdoor.
Sorry, in not sure.
20 minutes
Sorry can't help with that.
Marriott rewards members. You can sign up for free on their website if you are not already a member.
No, only special occasions
You probably can, but they have a lot of restaurants at the resort. Your delivery options may be limited due to location and immense size of the resort.
Go and find out!
Call
For me it meant 2 queen beds...dresser...desk...chair and a balcony view of the gardens and the American Craft Tavern...Rm 3317...I checked in early and just asked for a balcony room...some rooms have been renovated...mine wasn't but still pretty nice.
No. You have to order breakfast to your room or you have to go to breakfast cafe. There are several cafes serving breakfast menus in the hotel.
There is free parking outside the hotel wall adjacent to the conference center. It is a short and very pleasant walk to the main lobby.
10p to 1030p depending on the night. There is an all night marketplace that sells limited hot food, cold food and drinks
Pool is open at 6am and closes at 10pm. I've used the pool from 6-8 am and there are not much. One time I went past 8 pm and there were not much people. I recommend going early morning or at night to avoid a crowd.
Take I40 west from the airport and then go north on Briley Parkway. You should see signs on Briley for the exit you need for the hotel. Should be the exit just after the mall.
We did ours a month out
I'm sorry, but I don't know. You can Google it
Yes, and they have a shuttle that runs every 15 mins up until the start of the show if you don't feel like walking
There is a shuttle service but make sure to call and let them know you need one with disabled access.
Seems to me that part of the Gaylord business model counts on locals or other walk-ins for a significant part of their revenue. I stayed at the Opryland site for almost a week and I can't think of anything -- no restaurant, event, etc. -- that was open to hotel guests, only.
Is there a shuttle to the opry
Think so. Didn't check this week when I was there.
There is an events section on there web site. That is how I found the Christmas buffet.
The country Christmas ends on January 1 so that is probably the last day for lights as well
Each room has a maximum. Like most hotels more adults or children over a certain age that needs their own bed, would probably be additional charge. Only hotel could say.
About 15-20 mins. If you don't feel like driving there is a shuttle you can catch as well.
Sounds like you're asking about Gaylord's photo opportunities with Santa (he sits in a guitar shaped chair, under Delta Island Bridge)? Packages start at $29.99 and go up from there.
I don't know, I think it closes the lighting sometime in Jan
Yes it will
They are like Motel 6: "We'll leave the light on for ya." So never.
The lights inside are on all the time.the nativity and other outside come on at 5. We went last week, and had a fantastic time.luv it!
Jeannie is right, it is going on now. It's outside in a convention center between the mall and the resort itself, but located on the resort property. You can park in the mall parking lot and walk maybe 50-75 yards, instead of paying for the $30+ parking at the resort.
Various rates are available (as per usual with Marriott properties) check the respectives codes on website.
It's walking distance, no bus needed
Check on line
Dates are Nov 17 - Jan 1 at the Ryman Exhibit Hall. Tickets are $21.99 on weekends (F-Su), $18.99 weekdays (M-Th).
Weekdays (maybe) and certainly after Christmas. Also look to see how many conferences are there.
I posted some too.
Charlie Brown Christmas at Ice. A country Christmas is the theme of the hotel this year.
Everything
I had a fridge in my room, but no microwave.
I don't know. You can call the main number and they can tell you.
There's a covered walkway leading out of the Gaylord and the Grand Ol Opry is out across a few of the mall parking lots.
I asked them during a previous stay. They said every room on the property is equipped with a mini 'fridge.
I agree with the previous answer. Best to call. It may depend on whether it is state or federal.
It is truly a destination during the holidays. Live entertainers, plenty of lights. Animatronics.
Yes, i think self park is $20+ per day and valet closer to $30 per day
They have specials sometimes around the holidays and if you have a chance to go in December they have one of the most beautiful Christmas displays outside of Rockefeller Center in NYC!
