Seems to me that part of the Gaylord business model counts on locals or other walk-ins for a significant part of their revenue. I stayed at the Opryland site for almost a week and I can't think of anything -- no restaurant, event, etc. -- that was open to hotel guests, only.
Like most hotels, you can go in and enjoy the shops, restaurants, etc. or just walk around
You can go in but swimming requires guest keys.
Yes come in back door where buses deliver guest, park in mall parking
Anyone can go into the hotel. I was there for the elementary national chess tournament. We weren't guests of the hotel but we were still able to dine at the restaurants and shop and the stores located in the hotel
You can visit the atrium part without being a guest. You kist have to walk there, or pay guest parking
