Gaylord hotels is derived from Oklahoma billionaire in business man named Edward Lewis Gaylord he built Gaylord in to tainment company in the Empire that included the Oklahoman newspaper Oklahoma Publishing Company Gaylord hotels the Nashville Network he was kind of a big deal he also helped invest and build into the Grand Ole Opry Country Music Television CMT as well as Opryland USA theme park. He's kind of a big deal in the country music community.
