There were a lot of people swimming in the water. Be careful there are jagged rocks in the water
There are a few section of Canova Beach. There is one section that is specifically marked for dogs. It is a nice beach great parking/restroom area and nice space for the dogs.
Dogs are more than welcome in the water at Canova Beach Park. You must stay in the designated area which is marked by signs.
Sign says grills ok with charcoal only
I was there last week. It was great entertainment watching all the dogs play together. I didn't see too many people with a leash on their dog. I had a dog walk over to me and plop right down on my feet. He was big but very sweet. It's a great place to visit. Not overly crowded.
Outside showers for people to rinse off over by the bathrooms. And separate area as you come off the dog beach, to right side of parking lot, with a hose for rinsing off your dog. The hose wiil have to do for dog water.
Not on that beach but there is hotels close by. But Florida is very pet friendly so I dont see why hotel wouldn't allow pets and pet are usually $10 $15 per night thats what i have paid when staying in any hotel with my dog. I would call and ask first.
Yes, we were there at 7:30 this morning. I actually don't think it ever closes
We were just there last week. Although we do not own dogs we love this beach. I didn't see anyone really paying attention to the guidelines of where dogs can be or not. There were alot of dog walkers and they seem to be walking them the length of the beach inhibited. Like I said we don't own dogs but it was a nice addition to sitting at the beach watching the cute 4 legged friends playing in the ocean and on the beach.
Yes but there are people that don't abide by the rules so dogs may randomly get in your space unannounced. Your pup might not appreciate that.
Only a small portion of the beach front is officially dog friendly. However, no one seems to be enforcing no pooch rules. Lots of people walk dogs along that beach every day, right in front of the "no dogs" signs.
Don't know; why don't you Google Map both and see?
It is a short beach and I would say the only requirement is dog is supposed to be leashed and owner is supposed to clean up after the dog. However, both of the "supposed to's" are ignored by too many. Who will be the first to complain when the non-compliance is used to close it as a dog beach.
No. They have their own section
Technically they should be on leash, and many dogs will be but as long as yours is well behaved odds are nobody will care.
Yes there are no life guards posted on this beach.
The event is hosted by Sandy Paws Brevard and takes place the 2nd Saturday of each month from 930am – 1130am.
No restrictions on time, just the area that the furry ones are allowed in :)
No restrictions. Just please be cool. If your dog is aggressive maybe leave them at home.
I have definitely seen people bring alcohol to the beach and there have never been any problems.
The Ocean is never safe. So keep your small children close at all times always with your eyes on them. Always explain the dangers of the ocean that It is not a pool.
There is a ramp but you need a wheel chair that can go threw sand.
Yes
Look for the Nathan's Hot Dog cart in the parking and you have found it
