Yes. They don't need your license...just your registration and insurance. Btw, it's suggested to keep your registration in your wallet or purse..NOT in the car. If the car is ever stolen and thief is ever pulled over..he/she can't claim the car was loaned to them. At the very least they might get a ticket...which, obviously, would be a major problem for a thief. Or the cop might decide to call the owner to confirm, which again would be a problem. Finally, the person would not be allowed to drive the car without proof of registration. So, yeah, do not keep your registration in the car.

I went there at 7:30am. Had 6 people in front of me. I was out of there by 8:30am. And there was about 25 people waiting on line. When I drove by about 10:20am after stopping in Secaucus I could see there was about 10 cars waiting.

I would go and when you present your license don't say anything about it being expired. Ans if you want to be certain go and ask your local police department if your license is good until 12/31/2020. I went Monday, at about 10:45, theline took about 2 hours. Left at near to 1 pm. They inspect emissions, but will not pass you with broken head or tail lights

Before they open, seriously. People are forming lines up to 2 hrs before they open. They have a cutoff, they hand out tickets to those in line as soon as they open. No ticket no service.

Hi. We have stations that they do requiered appointment but, these stations are in south jersey. NJDMV- SECAUCUS is not one of them. No appointment need it. There are less than 5 inspector on this station so, be very early especially after 4th of July. They are doing driving test also. Make sure U Car's Engine light is on when that engine is not running and off when the engine is running. We do our best to help.

I was there on 8th June. It was closed with a notice that said all MVC agencies, inspection and road testing facilities will be closed untill further notice MVC related documents that are expiring before may 31 have been granted a 2 month extension

Well if you recently bought the car. and you have the temporary registration. You have to wait what motor vehicle there will be to register it and then inspect it. the motor vehicle offices open at the end of this month supposedly.

You cannot inspect an out of state registered vehicle in another state. You must have it inspected in it's currently registered state. Consequently if you are relocating to another state each state has a designated time frame to change over your driver's license and registration to your new state of residence.

There is no place to practice driving at the Secaucus inspection station. I would take my kids to a industrious area to practice driving on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon when nobody was working. It is open and safe place to practice.
