Inspection can be done at any point.
There is no time frame. Mine was expired for over a year before I got it done. But you can get a ticket if you drive with an expired inspection sticker though. My car was sitting in a garage. I wasn't using the car so I didn't get a ticket.
You can. There is no time frame except you could get a ticket from the police for expired tag.
