The year has nothing to do with it. It is not historic so yes. What is the sticker saying on your window? It should have expiration date.
Good answer Kris. David, my car is also a 1998 and I had to take her to inspection. Check your sticker and take care of it or risk a cop pulling you over for an out-dated inspection sticker.
