There is no exception. Everyone needs to get there car inspected. At the NJMVC its free.

Yeah you'll have to go thru the Inspection site. Have your driver license, insurance, and current registration rdy. It's a pretty quick process. Go in the middle of the month in the middle of the week(if its possible for you) i usually find that time frame best time
