Beware of snakes and other wildlife this a natural environment

Beach is Amazing. The Park is not. The older gentleman that checked us in was rude and unhelpful. Left multiple messages on my phone and actually sent someone to our campsite summoning us to the office over a $5 fee that we didn’t know about. Never before had to deal with bad attitude and apathy at a Park. There is No Water, No Trees, and No Privacy on the sites. We will come back to fish, but we won’t camp there again!

Very relaxing and spacious the beach is very clean.

Yes
Yes you can drive on the beach De'ana Nicole. Now if you haven't been here in a few years, i should warn you, Irma destroyed it nearly. I would send you a video, but doesn't allow me too. Anyway enjoy your trip
Yes you can they have covered tables with built in grills . you have to reserve that space.
Check with the park or look up their city of Jacksonville website. Google does not service the park.
I have had some great sunrises there, so yes, yes it does.
As of August 2018 the campground is open.
The Park is open now but the campground is still closed as of 9 27 2017
Yes lots of people fish out there. Even before you get to the park there are plenty of places to fish in the area.
I saw many trucks with grills in their trunk and also a few of other small grills by the sand where people parked their own trucks. Also there are plenty of areas where you can grill, the park has grills. Call before to confirm with them. Remember to go early to find good spots.
They wasn't working the last time I was camping but they was hopeful it would be working soon. There's a good chance they are.
Only the grills that come with the rented gazebos. If you plan to grill on the beach, bring your own.
The electricity is up and running.
Once you pay your 5.00 entry fee keep driving St Johns River to your right picnic areas and camping along the river that area is reserved for prepay one area for 4x4. Keep driving you will end up passing by bathrooms and Concession area. Keep driving you will see several covered picnic areas to the left along the Ocean Bay Area not open ocean it's a Bay best place for small kids to swim and play along the same road there's parking for your vehicles if you don't want to drive out on the beach if you keep going straight cars and trucks can transition to Open Ocean Beach parking with no problems. Be aware of high and low tide. The sand is packed hard no problems getting stuck. Cars park everywhere use common sense be aware of rip currents St Johns River exits to open Ocean. If you want a quiet ocean shell picnic area go North of Huguenot to little tablet island or big tablet Island
Yes
Yes fishing is fantastic there along with the scenery beautiful place also lots of Wildlife Byrd's dolphins and much more... :-)
Prices should be on their website - I know someone who works at the park, and she said that they should be there.
they recommend 4wd but if you stay on the hard sand you should be okay. Just don't drive on the fine sand.
The Huguenot Memorial Site is denoted by a marker located at the entrance to Huguenot Memorial Park in Jacksonville, Florida, USA. The site is dedicated to the Huguenots who left France to seek religious freedom and to escape religious persecution
$5 per vehicle up to 6 people, and $1 per person above 6 people in the same vehicle.
Says no dogs so maybe service dogs only or if your camping.
This beach ⛱ is the greatest! Don't know if they close in the fall though? 🤔
U would either call the park or go on the website
It was hard to fish that day but it's a good Lil spot to bring your dog since we couldn't bring her on the beach inside the jetties. They have grills there so you don't have to bring yours
The website is often glitchy, works best with a laptop or pc to navigate it. It's a great park so it fills up fast! Large units can't fit into every site but there's plenty of space to turn around inside the park if you do a drive thru. Beautiful place! Definitely worth trying to get in!!!
No, but I don't think anyone cares as long as you're not too rowdy. I always finish the day camping and fishing with a few. Basically just be respectful of the folks around you and clean up after yourself.
I would get one, if they have them, from either Huguenot or Hanna, both are COJ parks. I have not checked, but if they have them, I would think they would be accessible online.
Yes you can during normal park hours
You literally park on the beach. It's pretty amazing. If you go on a busy day there will be cars stretched all the way down the beach. I've seen people get as close to the water as they can. REMEMBER the waves come further up the beach as it gets later, so be mindful of where you park 😁👍 Check out this video of other places to park/play/be. https://youtu.be/CCFNpj_dUHo👇
Yes. No alcohol still. Just hide it under the ice
Yes. There is the inlet side, which is called the family beach, it has calm, shallow water without waves. Then on the Atlantic side is just like a normal beach with crashing waves. You can drive your car into both. We love this park because we have both little kids and big kids so we usually split up a couple times during the day and then get back together to eat lunch.
Yes it should be but as you know at this time anything can change at the drop of a hat. But hopefully the beach will be at least one thing that we will be able to do!
Yes COJ.net
Only street legal vehicles can be used on the beach.
No dogs are allowed at the park for day users. It does not matter if they are little or big. Campers can bring pets but they have to be on a leash, in the campground ONLY and attended to at all time. NO PETS ON ANY SHORELINE!
It probably wouldn't hurt to call them and see but if the hurricane is coming, they may not be open
The gates lock at 6 pm, you must be OUT of the park by 7 pm. The hour between 6 and 7 provides you with time to pack up and get moving.
Not directly on the ocean, there is camping in the park. The ocean beach has tides and could wash away your stuff.
They occasionally have vendors but no shop or convenience store at this time.
They only allow registered vehicles into the park. If you have a registered enduro they will allow you to ride on the beach. As long as it's slow and respectful and that no wildlife protection boundries are being crossed.
No. No pets allowed unless you are camping. Then they have to stay at the camp site. So none are allowed on the beach. They check cars on your way in.
I don't know. I have seen people using metal detectors
No. I was there two weeks ago and they didn't
Absolutely! Great fishing spots all around the beach there! If you're into camping they have great camping grounds too!
No pets and if the park didn't let you bring your pet you shouldn't be asking Google. The park said no so it clearly is not pet friendly.
Because you need to get it at coj.net not Google.
coj.net They have river front sites, electricity and a dump and fill station.
Best would be to call them as Holiday hours might be different.
I dont know. There's a $5 per vehicle fee to enter. Its kinda like a parking lot fee. Even though you're parked on the beach. You could ask the person at the booth when you go.
Yes, all of them. COJ.net for more information.
Only street legal vehicles are allowed in the park. The 5 mph speed limit is strongly enforced and reckless driving (donuts, rooster tails and power slides) will get you ejected from the park.
Check the Huguenot Memorial Park website through the city of Jacksonville. Google does not handle this and camping is open as of August 2018.
Bathroom house is in the middle of the park and they also have out door rinse off showers in the same place
Camping, no. Canoeing yes. :)
Yes you can but have a 4x4
Yes we just did last weekend.
Yes, they're, but there are times you really can't due to the place is to pack, with car and people
It's first come first serve.
No. For earlybird entry you can only pay by cash or use your Earlybird pass. Credit and Debit cards are only accepted during normal hours, per the park website.
No. Once the park is closed, no driving on the beach. Just for future reference..you can drive the beach at night if you're there camping. But right now...there's no camping.
No. Copied from their website: Dog Policy Please note that for the safety of both dogs and their people, day-use customers are not allowed to bring dogs into the park.
Camp grounds are closed
You can park and walk in
That's a bit insensitive, maybe they could use some volunteer help of you're available. Otherwise it's open and welcoming people to have a great time
Yes, you could but you will be taking a risk, rocks are some what slippery.🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
Waters pretty calm but depends on wind
It's $5 for a car with a max of 6 people and $1 for each additional person.
Best to give them a call to get the right information.
They do not sell bait inside the park. If you want to stay overnight to fish, you'll have to rent a camping spot.
I don't think so. I would guess you have to have your own. But you can pull your car right up to the water!
The park is open. The camp ground is closed until the main road is repaired. Lots of soft sand so be careful.
Because people with small animals think all of their pets waste just washes away when they leave because their pooch is so small... "IT DOESN'T." Park rangers have to pick up all of those pet droppings or by weeks end the park will be drowning in doggie doo.
I would call and ask before
It's $5/car (with up to 6 people. An additional fee of $1.00/person if you have more than 6). Camping is extra, though not open at this time.
Go to their website to ask the question!
I wouldn't. They'll just be riding around in traffic. Not sure if Huguenot is open yet since Hurricane Irma came through.... From what I remember, the road had started to wash out the previous year from Hurricane Matthew. I would call the park before driving out there.
