Great quality organic produce locally grown and sold to the community at very affordable prices.

Three things about me: 1) I try to eat very healthy 2) I love to cook for me and my wife 3) I have been thoroughly disappointed with the lack of places to buy fresh, local produce since moving to Port Charlotte from Minnesota a few years ago. The only two options seemed to be the Punta Gorda "farmer's market" which is basically just resellers with stands full of Dole fruit from California & Mexico and random street corner produce stands who get their "local" supply from God knows where. Enter the farm box from Worden Farm. Despite some initial skepticism over the $520 price for 16 weekly boxes ($32.50 a week), I signed up for it last Tuesday and picked up my first box on Wednesday at one of their convenient drop off locations @ Conway & 41. JAW-DROPPING! The box contained: 2 cucumbers 1 fennel bulb 2 summer squashes 1 head red leaf lettuce 1 head escarole 1 bunch kale 3 sweet bell peppers 1 bunch kina savoy spinach 1 bunch green beans 1 bunch radishes 1 bunch sage 1 head cauliflower All of this for $32.50. I since went to Publix and priced it out: $45.24 for everything listed above. Based on this sample, Worden Produce is roughly 28% cheaper than Publix! And Worden is 100x higher quality, truly local, USDA certified organic, picked THAT DAY produce. Each item they gave us tasted infinitely more fresh than anything I've ever bought at a grocery store. I ate a whole cucumber without even thinking about it while unpacking the box!

Farmers market or website
No, we do not. Lots of vibrant veggies, though!
Hi Wendy, We do not grow jasmine, so that probably is Roselle Hibiscus, and you can eat the calyces fresh or make a lovely iced or hot tea with it by steeping it in hot water. It also is known as Jamaica Hibiscus and is used for Agua Fresca and Jamaican Sorrel. Enjoy!
