The Park is open now but the campground is still closed as of 9 27 2017
The park was open again after hurricane Irma. I was there in October 2017. The campground is still closed but the beaches are open and you can drive on them. The former road is still washed away after hurricane Matthew in 2016 and has not been repaired but they still have beach access to drive on. It's a little tight at high tide but fine after that.
They are completely closed until further notice due to damaged by hurricane Irma. I just called and that is there recorded message. 9/22/17 @ 7:20pm
