Unfortunately, our cat passed away unexpectedly in the evening and we were forced to keep his body in our freezer until we could find a pet crematorium. After calling 4 companies (no response-some mentioned a 2 hour turnaround, which wasn’t true) I felt overwhelmed and devastated for my fur baby. Luckily, I came across the SPCA’s information. Chris was extremely helpful and caring. He made sure I had the 1st appointment of the day, which was an extreme relief. Once we got there the whole process took less than 15 minutes and we’ll have his cremains in a week. Thanks to the SPCA & Chris, we’re able to properly grieve our cat…Ramsay.

Call the shelter and make a wellness appointment
Amanda please call them and ask. I am not sure how your age affects your volunteering. Good luck
Besides just you socializing, make sure any other dogs you have get a chance to also, to make sure it's a good match for everyone
3rd Saturday of each month fromb9 to 11 am located at 1815 Bay Ridge Avenue in Annapolis. All dogs should be on leashes and cats in cages. They are terrific!
Southgate, Alexander and Huffards will treat feral cats.
Yes, they accept blankets and towels as donations.
Good afternoon Lorena and thank you for adopting shelter dogs in need!! We have all kinds of dogs available for adoption, you are welcome to walk through the dog room anytime during visiting hours, or you can see all our adoptable pets online at the link below. If you see a dog you'd like to meet, you can fill out an application online and once approved, the office will contact you to set up a meet and greet for you and the pup. I hope this helps and thank you again for your continued support! https://aacspca.org/adoptable-animal-search/#Available_Dogs
Call the shelter to ask. They may have some at Paws at the Mall.
Yes, there's a spot outside with a table for donations
Only if it's not opened, if it's open no. I love S.P.C.A
No, nothing used right now.
At present, the SPCA is only accepting new items, but may eventually be able to return to accepting clean, used towels and blankets. Check aacspca.org for status.
I don't know. I suggest that you give them a call. I just took my dog there for services.
Sorry no, only staff and trained volunteers are allowed to work with the animals.
Can I volunteer here even though I am 45 years old? I want to volunteer somewhere where I can decrease my stress level
Please keep an eye on our website things change daily.
, litter cat & dog food pet toys
Call very friendly people
I didn't have to put a deposit down for my appt
There is a fee. Check out their website for hours fees and adoptables
I dont have a dog anymore, sorry
They do take sibs and will indicate that the 2 must be adopted.
They do! Give them a call or drop by! So many cuties to cuddle!
Yes
They do not declaw cats, I doubt if they trim them either. Many pet shops offer grooming
No, they do not pick up. You must schedule up an appointment with them.
No, it's not.
They usually dont have same day adoptions. You have to fill out a form that they read over and make sure you have the right home. All members of your household have to meet and approve of the cat. They want to make sure the cat is going to a good, loving forever home and not just be a whim that the family will soon tire of.
Thanks, I will
Yes, 6 to 7pm on Thursdays and Wednesdays.
Hi Carrie! Okay here's the Scoop. In order for a child to be able to volunteer and work with the animals at the Annapolis SPCA shelter children must be 13 years old. Now however, there is an adorable program for children on Thursday nights for 8 years old and up it could really depend on his reading ability because the SPCA Bedtime Book Buddies program, where these children sit with the cats and/or dogs and read to them for a period of time is sweet Your son and other children who read this might want to participate in that reading program.
you should consult an allergist and be tested for allergies before considering adopting a kitten or cat
Give them a call or take the dog in personally. Its a no kill shelter so he should be fine.
You'd be better off checking their website. It has photos of all the available animals!
They are not a vet clinic.
No, you need to go to Anne Arundel County Animal Control in Millersville for that.
Sounds great! Orange Tabby cats are smart and affectionate ❣️
Yes, they have rabbits. I just dropped a male off 3 days ago. My grandmother died and we couldnt keep the rabbit, ghecko or the fish.
They take farrets.
wow i have never had that experience and have interacted with many of the staff. perhaps send an email w the time and date of your visit and that mgmt will look in to it. you should make them aware so they can address this issue right away!
You must have an appointment to surrender an animal and there is NOT an after hours drop off.
They have plenty of pit bull breeds.
Ive seen pit mix in there. So i dont see why not.
All available animals are listed on the shelter website. That is tge best place to start looking.
You may but you're better off taking the dog to a local clinic like one of the VCAs, usually with same day appointments. If it's urgent there are pet ERs here local, one in Columbia for example. Best of luck friend.
Yes, they do! I myself have donated items my dog isn't using.. and they're always very appreciative..
Call them and ask.
You can just call the SPCA in your area and they can help with the process, or call 311. What area do you reside in?
They used to have a limitation for any adoptions too close to Christmas. They wanted to make sure the forever home is just that. No impulse adoptions.
Monetary and volunteer time
You can pet the animals. But only at certain times
I don't know? I would call MD SPCA directly
Try spca NO PETSMART
