Do they charge you a certain amount of money when you book an appointment? (Do you have to pay for an appointment along with the service(s) you ask for?) and if so, how much?

^ Adding on to what I just asked: I have an adult male cat that has intestinal parasites and needs to be checked and dewormed. I've been looking all over the place for a vet or a clinic that will help him for a low-cost and found many hospitals near me that charge from 59$ to 130$. and if this is the place that will do such thing then I wonder if I have to pay upfront for an appointment or if the appointment will be free and I just have to pay for the services.
