I recieved a refund from a purchase I made. Paypal would not return the money back to my credit card. I asked for a mailed check. They said I must give them my bank info. to get my money. My account is locked for 75 days. I had the money returned to the seller and now his account is locked for 75 days too and he has not received the money. PayPal is very corrupt!!! They refuse to close my account. I want it closed !!!!!!!!!

I've had such a long battle with these folks and in the end corporate policy won over common sense. I had a hacker try to take over my account last year and got notified of it via email last year. The hacker worked fast and changed the phone numbers on the account and attached a third party security app using his phone number so I had no way of logging back in to change the password and regain access. Because of this I had to call my bank and suspend all transactions with paypal as well as temporarily freeze my account. Well fast forward to about a month ago. I have started a business and needed to regain access to my paypal in order to use an online business tool I need. A few agents were good enough to a least get my default phone number and email back on the account, disconnect the security app the hacker used and get the information and to some extent succeeded, but couldn't get the back office to agree to take those restrictions back off of my account to let me back in. What's the point of even having the account in existence and letting it remain on their servers if there's no way to remove the account freeze? How does that even make any sense. They said it's permanently restricted and therefore cannot edited or removed. One of the agents helped changed my email address on there, if it can be done once, it should be possible to do it again folks. Now I have to get an entirely new email address to use this business tool I need after having my current email for 15 years and not even being able to use it for paypal. Ya'll have some awful policies. When this company I need to use adds other payment methods, I'll definitely be choosing them over you. A month of 30+ minute phone calls for nothing. So disappointing.

I wanted to dispute a charge and had to give them all this info. Then they told me I would have to wait a week to a month to hear back on their decision. I decided that waiting this long was unrealistic and canceled the claim and closed my account with PayPal. Prior to this, the dispute department told me that they would give me a voucher to put towards any purchases on eBay or merchants that use PayPal. The odd thing is that this voucher didn't have any cash value so I just didn't get it. I declined this and told them that I am not going to use them or eBay anymore.

Paypal charges me whatever they want! I was paying a merchant in USD, but paypal charged my card in GBP and then converted that to USD, although my card had USD in it. The conversion fee at paypal is drastically unfair, thus I was charged much more than I was supposed to. I reached out to paypal’s customer service, and they were not able to help. The supervisor created an escalation case, which was supposed to be resolved in 24-72hrs, but I haven’t heard anything for 3 weeks. Then I contacted paypal again, to follow up with my escalation case. I was able to get a partial refund back, but still left with some outstanding refund, that according to an agent is “due to currency conversion rate paypal is using”. To sum up: after around 2 months of communications with paypal, I got 80% refund for the loss that happened due to paypal’s awful policy - non-transparent system of charging different currencies to a bank card.

This is incredible! They locked my account too and I sent emails and messages s through the website, proved that all my money was on PayPal and I have to pay things right now or I’m losing my apartment, school, visa status.... and absolutely no answer! No one is answering the phone neither nowadays! I have been calling for 3 days no answer! Is there some employees working at their office in San Jose during the pandemic? I live in Los Angeles but if I don’t get an answer from them now, I will drive to San Jose and protest in front of their building until I get my money back!
Yes.
Don't use paypal, they dont care about you, only your money, they dont even care about your honest opinion on their customer survey, if they dont like your answers they wont even submit your customer survey. I never receive my verification code from paypal, so i cannot access my account, there is no customer service and no other way for me to get my money out. I have filed a complaint with the FTC. I strongly suggest to not use paypal for your business, because it happened to me and many others from what i can read here and on their help center, paypal does not care about their customers, they never reply and they don't bother on helping any one of their customers.

Do you know the way to San Jose
Try chatting online with PayPal
some other person has stolen your SSN and your account # ...the only way to stop the stealing is to put maximum restrictions on your account, then pay for purchases with a debit card from your bank.
Do you still have headquarters number
Lmao
if you get on it asap you will get ur money back before they pay it out ,,,for you...🤔

Yes, and everytime I called PayPal, I got an automated message saying that they knew I was calling about the claim I filed and they had no information and it would hang up on me.
Not correct. They will not refund you or help you in any way.
Call and speak with PayPal about your issues. My Coach always said, "Ask and you shall RECEIVE." NEVER QUIT.
I would presume there's an equal number of customers that have tried to rip off sellers.
This is for the corporate office physical location. Usually after the words "PayPal" on your statement it tells you where the charge is from. In the PayPal app, you can get help via: settings > help > contact support
Is the money already in your PayPal account? If yes, then you should see the transfer money to bank account option on there. If the money isn't in your PayPal account, then that's different problem entirely.
they tend to ignore answers that were given even within their own system, for example: the seller answered me that he got the product and yet paypal ignored it and asked me to provide a proof. So, make sure you keep history of all comms...
I can't believe it that's PayPal is stealing from lot of people wow its not cool they have a complain about it I don't understand why they take it away for people money such bad things 🤦♀️

Yeah im going to be looking into suing them
Log into your paypal account then go to the help option then go to the resolution tab then select contact paypal then choose the call option then theyll text you a 1 time passcode to call them.
Don't really know, stopped using them after 20 years be caused I called them concern a pay issue of not receiving goods ordered and called multiple times, and called again and was transferred to 6 different people and the last one hung up on me when I asked to talk to a manager. DON'T TRUST THEM ANY LONGER. GOT SCREWED OUT OF $100. I AM NOW WITH Amazon Prime and they have busted their butts to get me info when requested and fixed several purchases delivered to some one else. Now when they deliver they take a pic of order left for me.
I have no idea what your talking about. Perhaps it a hacker trying to scam you. I don't buy on PP anymore. What is Venmo? I don't have any product. I think it's a scammer.
No. Contact paypal as soon as possible
I can give you a recommendation. Search things you need to report to your bank let's someone stole your debit card but you need to go to your bank that way they can stop any transaction into you account, and then you have to call customer service PayPal and explain them everything happened to you they may help you. just to let you know if someone take some money from your debit account to do that. Persons knows your email too. So another thing that I will recommend to you is you need to change your password for you email and from your debit account to in case of you use your computer or your cell phone to logging into your account. I wish you the best and I hope you can get your money back. Good luck.
First log in balance is on the left. Check out the details. There is a YouTube video, but I do not know how to translate it.
Nothing is on hold when a charge is disputed here or elsewhere. Check out credit card disputes. We pay up front. Keep in mind they don't take sides. Like a bank or credit card. https://www.paypal.com/us/webapps/mpp/security/buyer-protection-resolution
Really this is not the forum for that question. Look it up on the web.
No reason to contact Corporate unless you work for them. Contact Paypal on the website.
go to the web site.... it should have that info for you, I'm sure
Login to paypal.com & go to Activity tab
Yes, in your paypal account you will have record of it
Before reaching out to PayPal - call eBay customer service.
Can you rephrase your question
If you received a payment funded by a stolen card, you can call customer service
Not true it can take a month or so.
Watch you accounts there San Jose offices is hacking accounts
