If you like Lego it’s a must to visit just to see their sculptures. Even if you don’t it’s a super unique Lego store to visit. Be prepared to that there will be a lot of people there. Also if you want to get your custome mini figure make sure to make an appointment online before you go there. Same thing with mosaic. Also it’s located in downtown Disney and admission is free (but parking is not $10 first hour and then 7$ every 30 min)

We started the day at California adventure. Right when the park opens. And everything was great, rode a few rides and took some photos. After that we went to downtown Disney for lunch and drinks. That was nice, but way overpriced for the quality of the food. Then went to Disneyland. That's where things went south. The park let's TOO MANY PEOPLE into the park. You can barely walk much less ride anything without standing in line for hours. My last time ever visiting Disneyland.

I think this is the nice place to visit if you want to have a Disney theme in your day without visiting the park. No ticket except for the parking. The shops are nice including Lego and World of Disney, you can look for more Disnet merchandise here. The bar/cafe/restaurant also nice.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Validation will get you 2 hours of free parking. Get it validated at 2 places and you get r hours of free parking. For the holidays, one validation gets you 3 hours, two validations gets you 5 hours.
Depending on where you are, if you were to go from Carmenita to Disney turn left onto ball and take that all the way down till you start seeing Disney land lightposts, signs follow shortly after, follow the signs
Sorry but Disney doesn't answer questions here and Rainforests cafe is never coming back to Downtown Disney
You can receive up to 5hours validation on downtown disney parking depending on the restaurant. Or AMC theater. But when we go we always use the Mickey and friends parking structure which is 20 for parking all day. If your planning on hanging out at downtown Disney for over 6 hours this is your best bet. The trams take you right to downtown disney. I've paid 32 dollars once for downtown disney parking with validation.
Oh yes they do :). Especially the holidays all different flavors!
These carts are constantly moving around and changing location. If I were you I wouldn't worry about finding the exact cart. You will find numerous stores where you can purchase California t-shirts here :-) hope this helps. enjoy your stay.
Yes and the best one is right between the hotels called trader sams. The drinks are a little pricey but give me a break your in Anaheim. Lol You must try the shipwreck trust me when I say the entertainment is worth it.
Disneyland Resort will be open even on Christmas Day. Downtown Disney will also be open. Downtown Disney was even open during the Covid-19 Lockdown.
Yes its open, masks required, check in and get text messages to go into most of the stores
It is free to park but space is limited due to social distancing. There are times where they will limit access based upon current occupancy.
I think so, it's an open space .. Possibly you will have to ask permission from the authorities
For handicap. No roller blades, skateboards etc.
no tickets needed for downtown disney, you do go through a "check point" where your bag/purse is searched & planet hollywood is still there
They have been in the past. Expect large crowds. The day after Thanksgiving is their biggest crowd of the year.
You have to physically get in a virtual queue. Expect to wait well over 2 hours unless you get there first thing in the morning. There are cast members waiting outside of The Star Wars Trading Post with tablets that can put you in the cue. Once you are called back, you have a limited time to come back to get in the physical queue, then let the shopping begin.
It's open for shopping, with limited indoor capacity, but unfortunately no food or drink is allowed in the park.
I went on Saturday with no problem. Free parking. No lines. But stay home for now. Be safe
Yes
Yes. And dine, and sometimes live performances in the common areas between shops.
Free acces
Nop, you have to get inside into 'the city hall' and talk to customer service
Dogs are allowed on the parking lot tram, just make sure they are in the middle of the seat so they won't fall out during the ride. Once you arrive at Disneyland, make sure you walk your dog straight to the kennels. Dogs are notallowed in Downtown Disney and the security guards will remind you of this (If it is a dog for something like diabetes you'll be fine)
There is an IHOP and a Dennys around the resorts. Also Earl of Sandwich in Downtown Disney is the cheapest quick service. Some small breakfast muffins and bagels are also served at the Coffee House in the Disneyland Hotel with fruits and coffee and donuts available as well
I don't think so, I don't remember seeing one.
Yes they have both Starbucks and java juice.
You can if it is an establishment owned by Disney. If it is an outside vendor you cannot. This would include Disney eating establishments, gifting stores, and tickets into Disneyland.
There are two areas that are permitted, ask a cast member security for directions. :-)
Yes they do. I think it's by the day vs hourly! Not 100% sure. Call & ask 😀
We left there today. There was a small band playing live tonight.
If you're just going to downtown Disney park in the parking lot for that it's $10 for the day.
At the other entrance by where the busses drop ppl off there is a wheelchair rental place.
I didn't see any pocket watches. I've seen them inside Disneyland.
Free until march 18th. Dining with a mask on would be silly. You can sit and keep mask off while eating / drinking.
I dont think there really is a good time to go. Theres always a line. But it does move fast.
The earlier the better.
No not right now. You must enter through the simba lot
No tram. Parking is available in the Simba parking lot and from there you walk to the entrance of Downtown Disney.
I didn't see any dogs either.
Face Coverings and Distancing required. In addition, there are electronic queues for almost every store in the District.
The motorized wheelchair rentals are only for the Parks, and not Downtown Disney.
10:00 am
Yes. The pin stop outside the Lego store and World of Disney both sell masks but availability is sometimes limited. For instance, they didnt have any large(adult) masks last time we went.
Simba is the only parking right now. All other businesses around the area will tow if you park and walk in.
As someone with handicap plates myself it takes me about 10mins. A word of caution though I have gone on days where all spaces were taken and the walk almost doubled in time.
Yes. They are open until 8 pm.
It's a good hangout spot if you're going with friends, they have bars. It's also family friendly, nice restaurants, have an ice cream, or if you love disney keychains, pins, clothing, accessories, etc. they have the Disney world store. They also carry kids toys, I including Lego store. But I must warn, to get into a line, you must give the person in front of the line your cell number, and they will text you when there is availability to go into the store. 😆
According to the app, it is closed until April 1st.
Disney is indeed awesome. We had a trip to Disneyland planned for Saturday. Hotel wouldn't let us cancel so we went, just enjoyed Downtown Disney and made the best of it.
Do you mean radiator springs
Yes
Off of Ball Road signs will direct you once you turn they will have arrows for parking structure to the left for the park. And arrows to the right for downtown Disney, the Simba parking lot is the free parking area with validation. (3 or 5 hours)
Yes. Two entrances near the Disneyland Hotel, you can get off of the monorail near the Lego store, you can exit either Disney park to enter Downtown Disney, or you can enter from the Downtown Disney parking near the parks.
Hi Gayle, Hopefully I'm answering your question - At Downtown Disney they have trams that come to and from Disneyland Parking Structure to help guests get to the theme park and back to their cars in the parking structure. If you are staying at a nearby hotel, just like Melissa said, the hotel may have free shuttles to bring you from and to Disneyland/Downtown Disney /Disney California. Does that answer your question?
Yes. Depending on which resort you stay at, it's approx 3-5 min walking averagely.
No but their are plenty of great places to eat down there.
Yes, it is. There is alot of Cool shops. Something for Everyone
Nothing is free and very cute and full of food truck restaurants and shops
No, if you want to go into the theme parks, you have to purchase them at the regular ticket booths in front of Disneyland.
50's Prime Time Cafe in Orlando is a retro style restaurant. But in Anaheim the only reference I see is Prime Time Shuttles that pick up from the airport and also take you to different hotels and venues for $15.
They only di fireworks in prime time nights now. And you can kinda see parts depending upon where you are standing in downtown definitely not a good experience like in the park
Best why to get up to date themes is to visit Disneyland website 😇
Truthfully speak, everything is usually closed by 12 with last call around 1130. The grand hotels near and in dtd are usually open and serve food till at 1am in their lobbies, at least that's the latest I've ordered food there.
Yes, I believe Suzette is right that only service animals are allowed in Downtown Disney.
It's 25 for parking now but you can get 3 hours validation with purchases at stores
There is a pretty large Disney store in DTD. You should be able to find something Coco related there.
There is a cost for parking if you don't get your ticket validated. No cost to enter the shopping area.
The World of Disney store has some items that are also online. It's worth visiting.
You can get character ones i.e. Yoda from Star wars from the Disney store.
Disney has an app that you can download on your phone about times of shows and wait times on rides. I think that downtown Disney might be included.
Yes it is
There's a map on the Disneyland site. Here's the link https://disneyland.disney.go.com/downtown-disney-district/maps/
One of the best parking lots for Downtown Disney is the Simba Parking Lot on Disneyland Drive. From there you can walk straight to Downtown Disney!
You can see the fireworks from some of the restaurant balconies. Check Tortilla Joe's, Jazz Kitchen and Catal. You would need a table reservation. Time varies depending on park hours that day.
I would guess 9 or 10, but no idea
no, not necessary. You will get a check point at entrance but only for security purposes.
Yes,but they did move it ,I believe it's about 70 feet from where it was last year
Yes
The only thing that I can think of is try the management office, I'm not sure where it's located but I do know that there is 1
They have downtown disney live which has different bands appearing every day I think. Near ealr of sandwich
Just outside, no fee for downtown but there is a parking fee unless you eat there. There are a few bars to choose from
Enjoy 3 hours of parking when you make a $20 minimum purchase and receive validation from any Downtown Disney location (including quick-service restaurants, merchandise locations and kiosks)—or up to 5 hours of parking with validation from any Downtown Disney table-service restaurant.
It's free! You just have to enter a checkpoint... After that you're free to roam around.
Only certified service animals only not emotional service dogs in other words seeing eye dogs allowed others not
Not Idea...
Yes, you can walk from Downtown Disney ali the way, until the Main Gate of both Parks!
Definitely walking distance. Trams come from the mickey and friends parking structure.
Across the street from Disney off harbor CVS
Yes its already open again.
World of Disney and the Lego Store. Build a bear and ridemakerz is gone.
The downtown Disney parking lot is still there
Yes there's two pin shops at Downtown Disney and they both have pin trading.
Reopening is summer 2019. There are other fine theatres close.
sorry ,no nail salon
There is a dress shop. It's a little pricey, but the dresses are really cute. If you count sunglasses as clothing, there is a sunglass hut.
If you're staying at the Disneyland Hotel, it'll be a longer walk to get to Downtown Disney. There was an entrance right outside of the hotel basically but that will be closed for construction. I doubt there will be a direct path because the construction site encompasses that entire side of Downtown which means you may have to go around to the other side and enter through the main entrance. I'm not sure but I go there pretty much every month. If I find more info I will post an update.
Go into ESPN sports bar. Watch all the games
If you stand or sit between the two parks you can also see with a great view.
I believe arcades are located inside both parks, but not in Downtown Disney, which is more for shopping and eating.
You do have to pay for parking but if you spend $20 or more at a store/restaurant you can have parking validated. As mentioned above comments you can always Window Shop
No fee to get in, but parking is in a paid structure unless you get validation from a restaurant or store.
Only within the California adventure park by toy story mania but world of disney located at downtown disney may have some toy story toys.
They charge you for parking but you download the ticket and have it stamped and if you buy more than 30 they do not charge you
Prices can range from 10 per person to as much as 30 per person. Character breakfast are more.
If 20 dlls. But they have a raid in case you get too far, they will take you to the park entrance at no extra cost.
Yes, but it is going away with the new expansion of Downtown Disney.
They are closed these days, no phones for sure.
I have never seen them there but you can't go to Goofy's Kitchen
$20, but we spent $20+ at ice cream shop and they validated our ticket so we paid $0 for parking.
You can get your parking validated at Marceline's Confectionery after purchase of hand made candies
Yes and if you go to Napoli the pizza place they valadate for 5 hours if you spend over 20 bucks
I am mor sure which ones offers happy hours. There are plenty and all of them are close. In fact, those on downtown are out of the theme parks, and in each park are also at least one restaurant per land.
Only service dogs, but there were plenty of dogs that didn't seem like they were legitbservice animals. I did see security remove one lady because of her dog.
Only registered legitimate service animals are allowed! There are kennels to the right of the entrance for all other pets but they only keep them no food or walks from what i hear call for more info
You can get a redemption park at guest services in either park, not in Downtown Disney. It would be accepted for use at Disney owned establishments.
Yes you can, simply walk through the security to enter
You have to check the daily schedule(ck web)and the fireworks are set off around the castle in Disneyland Park, not Downtown Disney. They don't have them every night
First two hrs free in the DTD lot, WITH $20 purchase or restaurant validation. $12/HR without validation. Validation only w/ $20+ purchase.
Not that I know of. Downtown Disney is all shops and restaurants.
Yes. "Downtown Disney District parking is located on Disneyland Drive, between the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure and the Disneyland Hotel. Enjoy 3 hours of parking when you make a $20 minimum purchase and receive validation from any Downtown Disney location (including quick-service restaurants, merchandise locations and kiosks)—or up to 5 hours of parking with validation from any Downtown Disney table-service restaurant or AMC Theatres movie experience. Beyond these validations, each additional hour costs $12, charged in 30-minute increments, with a minimum $6 charge after the initial 15-minute grace period. Additionally, the maximum daily parking and lost ticket fee is $48. Parking is subject to capacity. Learn more about the exciting dining, entertainment and shopping you can enjoy during your visit to the Downtown Disney District!"
YES when you exit Disney park. they are on the left side of the area
For downtown Disney you have one hour free parking and there's parking validation at restaurants and movie theater
$12 an hour but if you get it validated you get 4 hours free
You have to spend a minimum of $20 to get 2 hours free. If you eat at a sit down restaurant, or go to the theatre you get 4 hours free. Otherwise its $12 per every 30 min, and many places are excluded from the $20 min like Goofy's kitchen, Starbucks, etc.
The website is correct. It stays open until 2 am.
AMC Theatre at the end of the Downtown Disney strip towards the Disneyland Resort
The do sell almost all the modern Disney characters outfits including a Mulan costume which was changed in 2016 to a more colourful design.
