I already have a pupoy in mind, and am in contact with the person who has the puppy, and it's been 2 weeks already

Yes tons..We get them in all the time.. I wouldn't recommend calling.. because of the amount in and out .. weekends are crowded..Earlier in the week.. .. but shipments cow in two times a week for both cats and Dogs.. great deal of kittens and puppies.. Thank for going to our shelter.. I love volunteering there.. Very clean shelter..

You can go there and socialize with the animals but if you dont wanna seen weird you can volunteer

I was there on the 3rd of this month and the last 2 beagles were adopted but the lady said that they were going to be getting more at the end of the month

Appointments book very quickly. When they get a free one,.they post it on a regular schedule, posting new openings every 90 minutes. Check their web page for appointments at 10:00am sharp, then try again at 11:30am sharp. Keep at it and you will get in. All shelters have the happy problem of too much demand and not enough supply. NEAS ships in rescues from far away (southern US typically), so they have more pets than most shelters in the area.

Giving up your dog should be the absolute last resort...there are numerous resources out there that should be able to help you and your pet. Call Northeast Animal Shelter and tell them about your concerns and/or situation. Best of luck

First go on their website to see what cats/kittens they have available for adoption. If you find one that you are interested in they have a form you can fill out online and call to schedule an appointment to go in or they do have walk-in days which I know Tuesday is one of them

You need to go on the web site at 4pm on the dot to schedule an appointment for three next day. The spots fill up very quick so make sure you're on the site right sty four.

Unsure about the cats, but you can schedule an appointment on the website to look at the dogs and interact with 1-2 that you are interested in. Appointment slots are very competitive and must be booked a week in advance.

From their website, adoption fee is $550 https://www.northeastanimalshelter.org/adopt-a-pet/how-to-adopt/ they are currently going through a backlog from the spring, so if you want a puppy, you want to get on the list, and be patient, it was more than 6 months for us.

Kittens and puppies are the most expensive. If you adopt an older animal the price is less. Talk to the staff. They are wonderful people and would rather place a pet in a home.

I think that is different with each person. My experience was really good my cat was really pretty and friendly so I can bring him home the same day. That is sad I worked at Northeast Anamal Shelter in Peabody, Ma. and they are a great place to surrender a pet. They do NOT euthenize. They WILL will make sure your dog finds a good home.

I do not have pictures I don't believe they have them on their website because the dogs and cats change constantly. They have animals that find forever homes and they have new ones coming in. Your best bet is to go there and fall in love with one.

Northeast is a sometimes kill. They have been under state investigation since 4/18. On 2/8/18 they killed Rukia & on 3/8/18 they killed Abby (while the website stated they do not destroy any animal entrusted to their care). On 8/23/18 the took down information that claimed the same thing. The next morning on 8/24/18 they killed Chewbacca, Dancer, & Duffy. They will tell you themselves that they are NOT a no kill.

We called and asked if they had kittens. Went in on the day, if you stand in line before they open (if there's a big litter expected) they give out numbers and we were first. Once you go in and choose the animal, it took probably an hour a little over and we went home with her :)

If you don't have a decent amount of money in general then don't get an animal. They cost money from vet appointments to food to needing to get fixed. Don't get a pet if you can't provide for them

NEAS is a non kill shelter. We do not put animals down. You will have to go to a private veterinary clinic for that service. You will need an appointment.

Angell Memorial is a wonderful hospital but some of their programs charge and Trust stay away from the credit card they have it is up to 30 plus percent and Trust it's no help!
