I think that is different with each person. My experience was really good my cat was really pretty and friendly so I can bring him home the same day. And I love him a lot he mean to much for me and I really don't know what I'm going to do if something happens to him. I hope my opinion help you and sorry about my english I'm still learning. Have a blessed day! Att. Maribel
Thanks for your #HONESTY..., SELAH...,
We got our dog on the same day. I went by in the morning with my daughter, then went and got my husband and step kids and went back about 230pm. We were putting him in the car by 430ish. It helps if every member of the household goes together as they like them to meet everyone if you are getting a dog. Also it's a huge help if you can print out and complete the adoption form before you arrive. Make sure you have a copy of your lease if you rent stating it's ok to have pets, or if you own I think they want some proof of residency.
It really depends on the animal. They will have the animal spayed or neutered and have their shots before you bring your forever friend home!
It took me 2 days because they were busy and bring your lease with you showing it dont say no pets
