Go to a different shelter to adopt. They have been under state investigation since 4/18 & were closed (part of same investigation) for several months last year.
NEAS is a wonderful place to adopt a dog or cat. I volunteered there for about four months taking care of cats. The paid and volunteer staff take wonderful care of the dogs and.cats waiting for adoption. In fact last Jan I adopted a 2 year long hair tortushell cat who is the sweetest girl. Please support this wonderful organization by adopting you cat or dog there. You will be happy you did.
It depends on the age of the dog. Puppies cost about $450, but they give you a coupon that covers the spay/neuter fee so it's a wash. Older doubts are much less expensive and will already come fixed.
