Amongst one of the coolest lookouts in the LA area, a panoramic view of the entirety of west LA and the beach on a nice day, the park requires you to pay for parking at the top, there is a visitor center and multiple routes to explore. The park is filled with wildlife of many sorts. In conclusion, a very nice place to get your hillside run in if you live near by, comparable to Runyon canyon 4/10 hike difficulty

There are different ways to get up the mountain (... or hill). Climbing the Culver City Steps is definitely an experience and challenge to any level of fitness but oh so fun. You can stop and take pictures of the beautiful scene around you or just take in the awesome view while breathing in nature. If you don't want to do the steps you can take a path that starts off as a sidewalk and then advances to a dirt path. I wish the dirt path went all the way from the bottom to the top, it's easier on my knees when I run. If you walk or run please be safe and hydrate. I've seen the ambulance come to get people who did not take care of themselves during the hike ( due to a lack of hydration, rest, knowing when to stop, etc.). If you don't want to walk or run there is a road that can take you all the way to the top with an area for paid parking (most people don't seem to pay). The views are amazing! The sights are something you'd see in a movie. While hiking I feel like I get a chance to get away from the L.A buzz and get to have a slice of nature and peace. If you have a dog there are certain areas they don't want dogs due to some sort of conservation limitations but I still see people take them everywhere with no problem. All this to say, if have a chance go for it no matter which method you decide to climb... or ride. Oh and there are public restrooms at the very top with a water fountain. And I alluded to the conservation stuff too, they have some sort of museum at the very top too, but everytime I go it seems to be closed.

Love that spot for a short workout or for a beautiful overlook over LA. The steps are steep and can be exhausting, but there is also a very nice path up to the top

Googled views of city lights at night and found this place. Expectations exceeded...mind blown...definitely worth it!! There were plenty of people still making the trek up the steep hill. We could see the trails and stairs in the dark. I already tripped on the flat walkway, so I thought maybe we shouldn't go exploring in the dark 🤪 We stayed right by the first overlook at the top and were not disappointed. It was a short hike uphill and not a lot of people around after sunset. Can't wait to see this same view in the daylight ☀️

L.A. County parks close from dusk to dawn. Protects them from liability. If you visit outside these times, it's not their responsibility. Your risk. Trespassing .
Yes there is a parking lot at the top of the hill wtih meter parking. There is a small lot on Jefferson Blvd as you passed the Scenic Overlook entrance going West on your left side. There is also street parking on Jefferson Blvd, few with meters and the majority of spaces free. I recommend planning 5 to 10 minutes to park as you get used to it. After, you will find it easy to park. Enjoy :)
It's open. The stairs can be a little busy during the day. So use your discretion
So this is a public park and of course you can bring your children I do not see a lot of children during the week and I only see a few of them on the weekends now the stairs goes all the way up on a hill or Mountain there's a lot of them probably about three to four hundred stairs can your children do three or four hundred stairs? Now there's another way you can go up through the road which has a sidewalk exclusively for people walking can they go up a half a mile Mountain if they can then yes bring your children now there are dirt walkways that go up to the stairs and that might be the most appropriate things everyone gets a workout it's wide enough for people to pass because on the stairs they cannot but it is a lot of fun with the whole family it's great when the whole family works out together also I would advise to park on the street and use paid parking so you don't have to cross the street or be in the middle of the street with the kids just safety but that's up to you
A lot but they have cut throughs that you can use and they are not that steep and a bunch of trail connections
Yes parking on top of the hill has handicap parking
Tney have been open i was there earlier today.
You can drive to the top if you come in at the right entrance. But the park closes just after sunset. Police car comes through to make sure no cars remain.
There is a dog park up the street. Probably a better experience for the dogs as well.
The top is if you drive up the hill. There is parking up there as well. A wheelchair would be very difficult to push up the hill because of the steep incline up, and decline down, but there is a walkway that goes up as well.
Yes t is safe, good place to hike. Enjoy!
The trail is about a mile long, the difficulty will range in where you start it if you start at the stairs it's a really steep climb and a great workout. But there is a road Trail on the westside that's a nice hilly walk, enjoy!
From 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Yes
In the 19th century it was horse racing and land owned by Elias J. "Lucky" Baldwin
every now
They close when the sun goes down
Yes. 10 hour parking from 8am to 6 PM I believe. Afterwards, it's free. Then no parking from 4 am to 6 am Thursdays due to street cleaning
You can park on the top of the hill you can park on the street and there's also a paid parking right next to it that is always available you can also go over there too from an Uber
Only open sunrise to sunset.
Technically no but as longest they are in their leash.
The Overlook is designed more for walking, hiking and jogging a fee is not required unless you park at the top which is very limited. Most visitors walk.
None of that. It's just a place to climb steps, walk or run the trail.
Yes as long as it's not dark. Essentially the stairs is open from dawn (Sun up) to dusk (Sundown)
I haven't actually seen them myself so I can't speak for it :/
Yes it is There is a couple of trails
No. The park closes at 10:59 a.m. and then reopens at 11:03 a.m.
I much rather go when the sun is low it much better for me..it takes about 10-20min. Depending on how many breaks and long of a break you take..i give it a 6 for first timers.
Yes ! Please enjoy the fireworks with a perfect scenic view 🎆🎆✨🎇
The park opens at sunrise and closes half an hour after sunset, so it depends on the time of the year.
Dogs are only allowed on the paved road portion and not on trails or steps and on leash. Be prepared to be yelled at though even if you bring your dog on the paved portion because the signs make it seem like dogs are not allowed at all.
There's paid parking on top of the hill, not a lot of spaces during prime time. It takes coin, bills, and cards. Lik e others said you can park further down the street and walk up
You Should Have No Worries, I Would Go, Just Less Day Light To See, & WorkOut With.
Not A Very Good Place For Kites, As There Are Way To Many Trees...
