Very enjoyable walk bt the Mississippi. A quick getaway from the hustle quiet and peaceful. Only recommendation is maybe 1 additional drink/restroom facility. But no more! The emptiness of facilities are the charm.

I like City Park. It's a little outside the city, but because of its size it's really easy to find a secluded spot.
Ha! The park is adjacent to the French Quarter. Good luck with the "AFFORDABLE" idea, you might as well go ahead and kiss that goodbye.
They have trollies and buses to get to most destinations.But I mostly used a Uber, they are very reasonable.
? Goldenberg park is a free river front green space...
