Dogs are only allowed on the paved road portion and not on trails or steps and on leash. Be prepared to be yelled at though even if you bring your dog on the paved portion because the signs make it seem like dogs are not allowed at all.
The situation there is that its a totaly successful, densely used park. So many people is not a great place for dogs, especially with so many runners who might surprise a dog, and so many new-to-exercise patrons who might be intimidated by dogs. I love dogs...like ALOT. Bit I like people branching out into nature anf exercise even more, and i think it's cool to support that. Additionally, the overlook is both human trail, and reclamation area. I always see lots of rabbits and wildlife in the trail. On one hand, that's exactly wjrr your want to bring a dog for its own bennefit, but then u are greatly stressing out the smaller residents lile birds and bunnies and opossums and things we need more of and thinga city folk should get a chance to see every now and then. Every time u see an oposom waddle off, that's about 10 differnt limes disease ridden ticks they will eat and kill later which your dog and kids won't get.
I saw dogs. I also saw a park ranger so it's up to you
My husband got a ticket once for it. At the time the sign was only at the top of the mountain. We fought it and didn't have to pay. But after that they put the sign at the bottom.
No dogs allowed. There are signs I. The area. Just down the hill there is a dog park for socialized canines.
Always see Dogs on leashes here
For the trails dogs must stay on lease.
Still says no dogs but I don't believe it's enforced because I see people with their dogs every time I'm here
Not Dog Friendly Place
