Nice place to hike but they do charge for parking. Likely, to help maintain the trail better than other public hiking trails.

First time hiking this trail, and it's been a few years since my last hike. Definitely more than I expected, having to carry my 2 year old most of the way, but it was well worth it. Not an intense hike by any means, ends in a nice little waterfall.

This trail is very beautiful. It is not too steep but don't go on a rainy day you will slip from the muddy part of the trail. I recommend walking sticks (if that's what you call them 😆). If you are not in shape from hiking you will either have a hard time on the trail and/or feel really sore afterwards. 😉 trust me I know haha.

Much kinder trail going down rather than up. One hundred percent in the sun. While the trail asks that you not bring dogs, at least one out of five chose to ignore that rule. $3 half day, $5 full day but you could park further down the street and walk an additional ways to avoid that fee. Parking lot was full when we arrived but decently quick turn over.

No, but they are strict about parking in the assigned area and in daylight hours.
Yes it is open, I went yesterday!
No you do not. Parking is right at the base right by a residential area. Also residential is permit parking only.
The most direct hike from the trailhead at the top of the parking lot to the waterfall is 1.6 miles. So to the waterfall and back the same route is 3.2 miles. The hike to the falls is an 800 foot elevation gain.
There are signs posted saying no pets. However that does not stop people from taking there animals Yes the trail is smooth enough for an animal to walk on.
I believe it's 6:30am til sunset. Just please be careful. Last time i was there at 7am, came upon a car that had its window smashed in. And i heard it wasn't the first time. Very sad that someone would violate the serenity of Etiwanda Falls like that.
Good trail and easy to follow.
It's free, there's some "street" parking up to the actual parking area. It's pretty obvious as you drive up. The parking area is pretty small so it does fill up.
Yes, is open 6:30- 5:00
Yes its openv
Water flow goes to its lowest rate in late summer and into the fall. In April the water is relatively high as it continues to get water from snow melt.
It's open they say the waterfall is closed but you can still make it up there
They are most definetly closed. I went a day ago and it was closed from the road.
No. But the parking is small so you will have to be patient. DO NOT park on the street or ur car will be towed. Have a wonderful time. 😊
Just about 2 miles actually. Maybe 2.5. Just keep pushing forward! 💪
It's been open, masks are optional but recommended. Hikers have been really good at keeping distance when I've been there.

Is about 3 1/2 miles round trip [ about 800 foot total climb ] Depend how fast you go up & down..trail is made by small little rocks...be sure u will be back @ parking by dust. Sheriff will close the gate no matter how many cars still parked.
From the parking lot go straight up, if you go to the left it is a lot longer.
We walk straight then towards right.
Make sure you'll be back and ready to go @7.45 pm. Gates will lock out @8.00pm even if there are cars @ parking area. If they locked the gate you only option will be call Etiwanda Sheriff to come & open. It may give you a ticket.
This is not a trail for dogs. Some people do I guess - the droppings are on the trail - but please take another trail if that's what you want to do.
There is a lot of inclination, and too many stones to be able to carry strollers
Best directions are 210, exit Day Creek and head North on Etiwanda which dead ends into the parking lot.
The trail is a gradual incline, getting steeper as you go. Depending on your pace, you can get there in 30 minutes to an hour. The first 10 minutes are a warm up, 10 minute butt kicker, 5 minute downhill reprieve, than a final 5 minute push and you are there. The trail is rocky and is not flat (tilts to the side). Wear sturdy shoes and stay in the center to avoid snakes if any. If you want a less rocky trail, take the main preserve trail left out of the lot, then right at the pavement. You will head up hill and come to a gazebo and restroom. Continue on to a stream and old pump house.
4890 Etiwanda Avenue, Rancho Cucamonga.
Idk. Maybe contact the ranger station?
Not currently.
Etwanda from Mira Loma will take you there. Just keep heading north.
Good running trail s one Mountain Rubidoux, claremont and For experienced runners Etiwanda falls cause there are lots of rocks
Haven't seen mountain lions lately.. Or bear.. But don't mean they are not there.. Seen coyotes.. And deer.. I agree not for strollers.. On the trail to the falls.. But if your just looking for a good workout with your stroller the street going up to the falls.. Is a good workout.. Its all up hill on residential track home side walks..
Anyone with dogs can be cited or asked to leave per city ordinance.
The trail is open 365 days a year sun up to sun down
Yes
There are 3 waterfalls the first one you cant miss, the 2nd depends on the path either to the left(west) about 300 yards from the 1st waterfall. There is one more if you venture north, it's about a quarter mile
Head to Etiwanda Boulevard go north it's going to dead end make a left then make a right on the very next street which is etiwanda again keep going until it ends which is right in the parking lot and don't park where it says don't park cuz they will tow you and start hiking if you go straight up that's the short way 1.7 miles if you go left that's the Long Way 3.2 miles
It's short but at a good incline. There are Some other paths you can take on the way back.
