Trails are always open unless there are fire dangers in the area
This Trail is actually a nature preserve kept open through a grant and although it is open 365 days a year it's basically sun-up to sun-down. Anytime after that they can and will cite trespassers. After the New Year a day fee will be assessed due to all the people who are actually on The Preserve. They are trying to limit the number of people coming up there and also discourage vandals and other people who don't follow the rules such as bringing their dogs.
