Your family pet is now considered part of your family. Not only is wrong but it is illegal and that person(s) can go to jail and be prosecuted for this. If you feel that is happening call the local Police, Sheriff's Department and criminal charges can be filed for an arrest.

As far as I know none of these institutions give you the kittens for free. But they have very reasonable prices. In reality, they don't charge you for the kitten himself they charge you for the services that are needed for the adoption process to take place. They include: sterilization, microchipping, vaccination and a vowcher to see a veterinarian within 3 days after coming out of the shelter. If the kitten is sick you have to pay for his treatment separately. Just so you know, cats aren't licensed.

Not that I know of. My prayers are with your family. Before my wife died 2 years ago, we had an animal rescue for over 35 years. We would have helped, now, I can't.

If you found her in San Bernardino you have to surrender to San Bernardino shelter but since you've kept the dog for more than 4 weeks it's technically yours so you'll have to pay a fee to surrender her. You can always contact a rescue and they may help you.

I believe there is a online prompt you get via email that you can use to pay if its renew, not sure about new. Also they do vaccines every saturday and sunday for a certain timeframe (on their site for hours) i just went with my dog. There was a person on the phone when i called you just have to wait for the very long instructions to be over and call.

It would be easier for you to go to Salvation Army to work off your 10 hours. They do a lot of community service. The animal shelter makes you do a live scan to volunteer there.

Don't know about a discount for vets but I found at the Rancho Cucamonga shelter on Etiwanda and Rochester that there is a shot clinic on Saturdays and you can check that out that's where I got shots for my little chihuahua and it was about $170 for the whole series I'm shots for her

I had this same situation with our cat. We showed up an hour before opening and we were the 2nd in line. The 1st person showed up at 3 in the morning. Luckily she adopted a dog. The person after us wanted the same cat but we were in line ahead of him. It all comes down to how popular the dog is and the number of people that want your dog. I would go early at least an hour. As soon as they opened i sent my daughter to guard the kitten and i went to the front desk and filed the papers. We adopted the kitten and she has been a blessing to the family.

I think so because these shelters have dogs of all sorts of breeds and personalities available for adoption. I suggest that you go to this facility tomorrow first thing in the morning and take a tour of the kennel area to see if there is a particular dog you are interested in. When you find him write down the animal identification number, take a photograph of him if possible and show them to the people at the front counter or to an animal care technician. Fill out the paper work, pay the fee and they should tell you when he is ready to go home with you. You can also go to their website to view pictures of all the animals that are available for adoption. Good luck to you!
