If the ranger is there you will be cited for tresspassing....
I been up there at night hiking.. Make sure to dress warm take a flashlight extra water and a battery charger for your phone.. Either download a trail app.. Just in case you get lost you can find your way out step by step.. Or call the sheriff.. I spoke to a sheriff one time.. He said the park closes at 10pm and that's about the time they make there last round up there..after that you are pretty much on your own.. They coyotes will be out and if the bears are not sleeping they will also be out.. You might see some deer running around at night too.. Mountain lions or bobcats.. So be aware of that.. At dusk is when the coyotes go down into town to look for food..all the other critures we be out to.. Be safe and have fun..
The sign is there and you also see the ranger in the morning and during the afternoon. Also, I have seen Fire Dept. Up there as well not sure if they go to hike or to cite people.
Problem is you cannot park after dark and they enforce this.
There's a sign that says 6:30am to 6:30pm if I'm not mistaken....
No, it gets really dark and there are no lights.
It's closes at sunset, but I've been up there and have seen other hikers past sunset
