First time at this fair and I really had an amazing time. They had so many stalls and so many things to go and see. They also had rides for the kids, they had farm animals and as well as a petting zoo for the little ones. There was also a a garden show, and an art and photography gallery. There were a lot of stands selling their stuff, they also had a héroes area. And I cannot forget they had a lot of food stands. The food was super expensive, so if you go there go with a fixed budget so you don’t overspend.

The fair was fun and lived up to their good reputation. You can get great deals on home decor, matress, massage chairs, cars, look at llamas, goats, award-winning roses, flowers and hand crafts. I mean, that's only a portion of the fun. The ONLY bad thing is the prices!! Everything is expensive, parking $30 bucks (premium), entry tickets $15/person, beer $9-10, food $7-20, and tickets average about $1.25 each, with rides costing about 5-8 tickets. Big families, get ready to spend money. Bag your water and snacks and it should save you a lot!

It was fun and expensive at County Fair. But I think it’s still worthy to check it out because it’s only once a year. We did a couple of rides and had some drinks and it was almost $150. The drinks here are really pricy, probably similar with a fancy restaurant. But you know you are also paying for the atmosphere here. By the way, if you come to visit, don’t forget to check out the art exhibit area. I’m so happy to see my little students from US Arts Education Center all won the awards, they are so talented.

Our family had a blast at the fair. We came home tired and with a full belly. We saw almost everything. From the animals to the rides on the horses, playing the games. The granddaughter even came home with a nice soft friend. We had the ft long sausage on a stick, fresh fries, waffle fries, cheeseburger, fish 'n chips... Pricey, but all so good. Don't just sit there, head on down!

The San Diego County Fair always ends on July 4th. Then it moves up to Orange County and becomes the Orange County Fair. This year the Orange County Fair opens on July 15th. It's in Costa mesa. I don't know if you need to order tickets online but the website is ocfair.com.
Vons/Albertsons has coupon for $3 off.
Check with security, as forks may be an issue as well as knives
Wednesdays and Thursdays are $15 dollars and weekends are $20 at costco they sell a package that includes parking, 4 entrance tickets and 40 game tickets
They sell tickets at the entrance
There is no in and out privileges is what we were told when we went
I didn't have to reserve a date with the Costco tickets. Just show up at the entrance and they will scan the tickets.
I believe it's 42inches to 48inches however the fair had a section of baby / little kid rides then a section of big kids / adult rides.
Good question, I believe it will.
Check out the online service.
The San Diego County Fair wasn't the same this year it was $10 for what amounted to turkey legs and kettle corn. Hopefully next year will be better
Nothing fashion related. They have clothing vendors. But july 4th is the last day for the SD FAIR, just fireworks on that day.
It's closed Monday and Tuesdays
There are bars open throughout the grounds. The do allow public drinking throughout as well
If you are referring to tickets to get into the fair grounds, yes.
Theres a separate entrance for lyft/uber, they might let you drop off there
The fair is closed on Mondays & Tuesdays except the last week of the fair leading up to the 4th of July.
I believe service animals are allowed. If you check the fair website the have a FAQ section that answers most questions that is frequently updated.
No. You have to buy tickets for the rides.
For 2022: Horse Park $15, Preferred parking at the fairgrounds $30. Only cards are accepted. No cash.
Horsepark is a couple miles east of the Fairgrounds and costs $5 (which includes a shuttle to the Fair.) The address is 14550 El Camino Real, Del Mar, CA 92014.
The KidsZone rides are for children (lower height requirement.) You can see the full list of rides here, and can sort by FunZone or KidsZone and can see any rider restrictions, etc. https://sdfair.com/what-to-do/rides/
The buses drop off people at the gates but don't enter the actual fair area.
The base has multiple packages for fair entries with parking and drinks, etc. A single day pakage with a parking pass and two entrance tickets is about $57
It seems to me that from today after half a day only one bus every hour

The 2019 San Diego County Fair runs May 31 - July 4 (closed Mondays and Tuesdays in June.)
We are not having birds at the Fair this year as a preventive measure. Newcastle disease has been an issue in parts of Southern California, and to eradicate the disease the California Department of Food and Ag is recommending bird owners keep their animals isolated from other birds. You can learn more here: https://www.cdfa.ca.gov/ahfss/Animal_Health/Newcastle_Disease_Info.html
I'm sorry I would not know the answer to that question.
The best way is to drive to the Del Mar High School (aka: Torrey Pine High) where parking is free and shuttle takes to the fair every 15min. Return to high school depends on your departure. On Sunday I left close to closing and it took 1 hour to catch the bus to high school. Have fun!
10 am. Today. Have fun. Take your patience. Parking issues due soccer games to the east of the fair.
Yes should be fine. They just don't want adults with open containers.
It was .75 per ticket, $9 for 12, and $20 for 28
They also have shuttles from Torrey Pines high school - free to/from the fair. Save some money and spend the parking fee at the fair!
Backpack is allowed, as for the food and drinks, they have to be unopened
Nancy Wilson of Heart Is at 7:30 tonight
Food brought in ok. No glass bowls or bottles... Water plastic bottles ok if new sealed from store....
As everybody is saying, there are a number of places to pick up a xxl. There is not just one price. I would find what you want and never hurts to haggle a bit for yr best deal. Good luck and one last thing. We went 2 wedsnedays ago with $5.00 tickets, I know cheap right? That was the ONLY thing cheap, this year was by far the most expensive as normal fair prices go. Go next year? I'm not sure after 25+ years of going. Besides the lady with all the kitchen gadgets is missing for the 2nd year. Sounds like bad news there, hoping that's not the case.
Yes just say you cant stand long or a cramp in your legs lol
I was told 18.00 at the grate. Once u get in the staff gives you card to get 6.00 dollars off your next visit. I have that card now on me. I wish I can give it to you. I will not be returning. One time going is enough for me.
They have different performers every day. Check out the website for listings.
It cost $15 for parking or there is a free parking area that you can get in then u have to catch tram back and forth
You have to purchase tickets for a ride, and each ticket is worth about 75 cents. Each ride is between 3 to 10 tickets. If you buy the 20 dollar bundle you get 28 tickets "it saves about 4 cents per ticket".
Maybe, people from all walks of life love coming to the fair
Yes, multiple options available from motorized to non motorized
Yes. Only plastic sealed new from store allowed. No glass bottles allowed...
Yes you are but no alcohol or ice chest will be permitted.
Same hours as the fair....hours to see farm animals may be slightly different..checking would be wise
