If you are planning to arrive on Friday night you should get a reservation. If you are arriving in the middle of the week (Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday morning) you should be able to get a non reserved site. Unless there is an event in the park or if it is a weekday before a big holiday weekend.
Some camp sites can be reserved.
