A very quiet convenient and well maintained campground. Laundry facilities on site. Awesome views.

This is a nice state park. We camped, and had to pay a $9 fee on top of our camping fee, which is a little weird. There’s a nice trail along the river for an evening stroll, but lots of bugs. The campground is pretty nice. Very level spots and we appreciated the hookups because it was super hot in July. It’s really close to the entrance to Colorado National Monument.

Beautiful campground on the river. Quiet except for occasional train noises and some highway noise. The sites are large, clean and everything worked. Very unique setting.

Great park. The Fruita section has several small playgrounds and several small lakes and lots of picnic tables. The Colorado River runs through the grounds and you can follow the bike path along the river to exit the park and enjoy miles of beautifully paved bike paths in the area. I was there in early April and experienced high winds, so no picnics but I still had a great time riding bikes. There is a day use fee in addition to the camping cost.

Yes, that is correct.
Not technically. But you are fairly close to where you can, it's just a short trip on the road.
It's now $10 for a day pass as of 2021.... Yes there is river access here.
James M. Robb was a civic leader, former parks board member and chair, elected representative and champion of state parks. Robb helped create the Colorado Riverfront Foundation, referring to this Grand Junction-area park as a “string of pearls.” Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the communities involved are working together to build a future 35-mile river corridor trail system to connect this “string of pearls.” found this on the web.
Yes there is at the dump station. There are also several spigots around the camp
We were just there this last weekend and went swimming. No issues when we went.
Sorry we didn't see any stage set up nor any signs saying anything about a stage area.
Yes
There are places to get in the river.. not sure if it is allowed, we were looking for catfishing spots but the river was running too fast through there.. not sure I would suggest it.. may be dangerous.. the swimming pond was open and always had people in it having fun..
