There is a small field not on the trail that is not really dog friendly i was pretty disappointed. That being said its an amazingly beautiful trail. But every other waterfall within 2 hours was better for my dog
They are not allowed on the trail for the falls or in the picnic area. There is a designated area for dogs, but you'll miss the best part of the park unless you take turns (like we had to).

Yes dogs are allowed in the park but not in in all areas and they're not allowed on some of the trails to the falls.
I do believe they allow dogs on a leash.
Yes as they said before me. It's definitely worth the trip and something everybody should see at least once in their life
