We were there 2 days ago and there were lots of cranes, ducks, some geese. Also saw deer, turkeys, pheasant. Always something to see at this beautiful place.

We’ve been to the refuge in the fall, really enjoyed it. But this year we will be in NM in July. Worth the detour to visit that time of year?

is the bosque del apache wildlife refuge open in spite of the government shutdown?
May I bring my dog with me? He is a service dog.
Can I ride a mountain bike on the roads in the refuge?
