Love this place. People have really taken care of it. Still remains clean and people pack out their garbage. Pleasant weekend. Buggy but enjoyable. Too my german shepherd for his first overnight

Short swing trail to tubmill marsh lean to and lilypad pond lean to was a great hike. I feel the trail should be rated as moderate and not easy. Many ups and downs and sometimes hard to find trail. Many trail markers had fallen down and it seems the trail isn't traveled much a little after tubmill marsh lean to. Very scenic! The waterfalls about a half mile from lilypad pond lean to were worth the hike alone. Overall a great trip

Camped at the Putnam pond campground. A great camping experience. The showers and restrooms were ok. Some of then out of order. The nights were peaceful and we didn't find any wildlife foraging for our food even when we cooked late night. The campground also sells ice and firewood. The pond area is extremely beautiful (especially in the fall) for day use. Some adjacent campgrounds were too close but overall things remained peaceful.

What a beautiful area! Hike Pharoe Mountain, it has three solid vistas at tge top so make sure you find them all; northwest, southwest, and east. Passed a couple of water bodies in the low area. Bugs were a nuisance so prepare accordingly. The first parking area was really far away. If you have a vehicle with excellent ground clearance you can drive further up and avoid walking along the "road" for so long. There are many other access points and places to see and hike to in the park. But my first experience was a great one!

People hike with dogs. Just remember: take nothing, leave nothing. (Includes dog poop!)
