A nice variety of interlocking trails, each special in its way. Great view to West and SW from the ledges. There is a side trail to the old stone tower (1909),, that one can climb as well.

Really nice walk of variable length. Easy to get to, we’ll marked through the main section. Recommend taking the first turn to the right so that you end with the view rather than following the trail and hitting the view first. Smaller circuit (and half circuit via the cutthrough) are wide and well trodden. Longer circuit around the back is beautiful and well marked. Kids played in the free flowing and often foot deep stream coming down the hill along the path. Great rock scramble around the back corner. Couple of caves we did not attempt to explore but which make spooky spots for kids. Excellent small waterfall and smaller rushes all around. Very still air, so expect to sweat. Well marked on AllTrails, if you use that.

As pretty as the overlooks are, I am sure, we never made it to them. The long lead-up on fire roads and roads shared with adjacent property owners felt like a walk that was just anywhere. From the standpoint of uniqueness, the drive up to the parking area was quite beautiful, with the gravel road climbing and meandering through a mix of farm land and wooded lots with beautiful views across the valley.

Unassuming park with a gorgeous payoff. Lots of space to hike, explore, take photos, and get bitten by mosquitoes. Lovely place to check out a beautiful variety of ferns and lots of other fauna. Out of the way, but definitely worth it.

Questions & Answers

how long is the trail from beginning to end

There are a number of trails and loops to choose from. 30 minutes total out and back to popular high ledges lookout. 2 hours for longer loop with really interesting rock outcroppings (wolf's den). With even longer loops available.

Can at least some of the trails be traveled by an elderly person with a walker?

Yes but do not take the right turn early in the trail. That is a very rewarding but rough trail.
