Yes, but you have to pay a transfer fee I believe.
I called the housing office. We can move. We just have to pay a 500$ transfer fee :).. thank you for your advice.
You can request a different one, but you're not going to be at the top of the list over people moving in new. I think it depends on your circumstances. If you have housing based on the fact that you were a new couple and you are now currently pregnant and need more rooms, you would get faster consideration. If you just want to move because you don't like how far you are from work or you don't like your neighbors, you'd be farther down the list. Policies and availability differ. Also...no one is going to move you. It's not like a PCS where the Army packs you and takes your stuff, you'll be on your own to get it done.
Yes, but it can be difficult to do. Typically you need to have an exceptional circumstance to move to a different location, such as a compromised foundation, tree fell through the roof, or adopted triplets and now don't have enough rooms for everyone. However, none of these will guarantee they'll move you. There is paperwork you have to complete and they need to have availability. The Housing company typically does not like to move people, so be prepared for a lot of push back and negativity. However, if you have a good reason to move, then be sure to get back up from your command and other organizations on post. Hope this helps.
