Metro: Minnesota ave or deanwood stop. Short walk. 1/2 mile tops

Samantha Kerr | Sep 30, 2018

There is an excellent bike trail (Anacostia River Walk Trail), otherwise the Deanwood metro (orange line) is very close. Enjoy!

The bus or subway

Luna Celestial | Sep 30, 2018

Be aware that if you bike, you will need to bring a lock and park it. Bikes are not permitted on the park trails.

I have biked from Union station, and that will take 30 minutes at a minimum. You could rent a bike there from Bike N Roll, located near metro entrance. Head east on H st until it becomes Benning Road, take it across the Anacostia River and then Anacostia River Walk Trail path turns down to the right. Continue under the bridge you just crossed (Benning road) and head north on the trail. You will be heading in the direction of Bladensbutg Waterfront Park.

Metro to deanwood station. And then short walk or uber.

John Read | Sep 30, 2018

You can take the orange line metro to the Deanwood station. It is a half mile walk down Douglass street with a foot bridge across 295.
