Absolutely thrilling collection of fine craftwork. Thoughtful and diverse curatorial selections. Small but perfectly formed. If you are at all interested in crafts, from quilting to woodwork, do not miss it. And the gentlemen on security were incredibly sweet with my baby!

Lovely craft gallery. The museum is pretty small (I made it through in <45 mins), but the collection itself is excellent -- they have a solid range of pieces from leading contemporary craft and textile artists. Curation felt somewhat haphazard, but there's only so much you can expect from a small museum. When I went the main hall was closed for an event, which was unfortunate, so come in the afternoon or call ahead to avoid that.

Awesome exhibits and I really enjoyed reading the story behind each piece. It's a small gallery about the size of a two story house. Took me about an hour to see everything and soak it all in. Highly recommend visiting if you have an hour to kill.

Small gallery by the white house. Beautiful and eclectic collection.

Free. We were there 6/2 and some of the larger exhibits were closed/in transition. Still worth a quick trip, but might want to wait if you can.
No actually the first floor of the Burning Man will be changed out. The upper floor with the Temple will stay until January
All Smithsonian federal government Museum are free to the public
Stop is Faragut West. 17th Street exit. Walk 2 blocks south
No parking at Renwick Gallery as it is right by the White House but you will find some street parking a few blocks away and some underground parking in buildings not too far from there.
Yes! The Renwick Gallery is open daily 364 days a year, 10:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., closing only on December 25.
The exhibition "Hearts of Our People: Native Women Artists" will be open February 21, 2020 – May 17, 2020. More information is at https://americanart.si.edu/exhibitions/native-women-artists
There isn't really a spot for that that is secure. They have a place to publicly hang coats, but that's about it. And they check bags so they might want to check your suitcase.
"No Spectators: The Art of Burning Man" was on view at the Renwick Gallery from March 30, 2018 – January 21, 2019.
I think this is closed despite the shutdown. The only exhibition shown on the site is the Renwick Invitational.
From their website, they are closed as they are a part of the Smithsonian.
They normally have a docent in the galleries. Besides that it's a self guided tour.
My guess is there may be lines this weekend as it's burn weekend, but there haven't been bad lines that I've seen recently
The Renwick Gallery offers manual wheelchairs at the basement security desk, just inside the accessible entrance (the ramp at the corner of 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue NW). All areas of the building are served by elevators.
No.
Plenty of restaurants within 1/2 mile of museum. There is no restaurant inside the museum.
Sure. That's easily accomplished by you by clicking the clock symbol in the Maps record you posted this question from. Enjoy.
Assume on 15th or 17th streets. We always drive, park and walk.
You should check in the Library in Congress.
