This is one of my favorite all time museums. Not only is the building's architecture amazing, the exhibits inside are too. Went for the Yayoi Kusama exhibit and had a really fabulous tour guide, who also pointed us to the 3rd floor exhibit, currently all female artists. This place is always worthwhile.

Great experience viewing the wonderful immersive art offered here. We were passing by and decided to stop by to see if any tickets were available. These are timed- limited tickets that are first come first serve. Worth checking out. We saw the one with eternity exhibit.

This art museum was really cool. It's free but there's also a paid exhibit side. The free exhibit was well worth it if you're in the area. Impressive building with tons of photo opportunities.

I think all museums should be built as big circles like this or the Guggenheim -- it just makes them so pleasant and easy to navigate. Building aside, this museum was fantastic. The galleries were very well curated and thematically organized, with a nice range of pieces. The facade is currently under construction but the museum is open, though when I visited the second floor was closed for installations. The kusama exhibition currently on the first floor is awesome, though it's definitely best to show up early or at a weird time to avoid lines, and you only get about a minute in the mirror rooms (it's still worth it!).

Its free, always free, no charge for any exhibits, ever.
Free admission but donations are always appreciated. Source: I was there today (Sept. 8th 2017)!
Not at this museum, they do have them at the portrait gallery
No they removed it along with other interesting exhibits. They are redoing some so there are many closed spaces currently.
There's no dedicated parking. I recommend using the metro, but if you really want to drive, you can find street parking at a meter and expect to pay $6-$10 for a few hours
Museum is free, some exhibits require tickets that you can get inside the museum
Arrived in line @ 9:30. Waited 30 minutes to receive tickets for 10:45 time slot. Was worth the wait for me. Loved the Laurie Anderson exhibit just as much, maybe even more.
Yes but they are currently remodeling parts (summer 2021) so not everything is open
Yes it is outdoors and open
Yes it is
Yes, they encourage photography
Absolutely!
3 hours would allow a casual stroll through entire collection, indoor and outdoor with adequate time to stop and note/admire particular installations. Dont forget to explore the outside beyond the garden area... people miss walking around building and discovering the quietest "hidden" areas and artworks.
Simple strollers are no problem they are very helpful staff there.
